Electric or gas is the question....e-power is easier for a float plane since you can put it in the water with a static prop....then go.

But I love my long flight times and power from my 30cc in the 74....

anyone care to comment on whether or not the A5016s *might* *theoretically* be appropriate for Bigfoot on 6s?

This info is a little old at this point, but the specs that Ben quoted a while back were 80" wingspan and that it would take a 6S power system. He also said it would be able to fly off of the roughest of fields with no problem. It was never actually mentioned, but I assume "Big Foot" must refer to big tundra style tires. I have in my head something like the Multiplex Fun Cub supersized, but much more 3D capable.

I'm sure A50-16S would fly it. It might be marginal for good 3D performance but again, this is all speculation by me. That motor was great in a 65 vyper and "ok" for the 70 Slick so I'm assuming it would be a little weak in bigfoot. Mine got pretty warm in the 70 Slick EDIT but I didn't have a good ESC controlling it either so my data isn't completely accurate.

Anyone tried one in the 74 Edge? That would be another good data point for the motor.

I'm gonna go with the A60XS or whatever that new one is called.

I have a bud that put the Scorpion 4035-330 in the 74" Edge on 8s and a 19x8 Xoar. He absolutely loves it. Power is silly to say the least.

I've got the 4035 380 in a 65 Vyper, looking forward to trying it on 18x8 and 19x10 Xoars, which I now have in my arsenal . currently running a 17x10 and it's pretty awesome.
