carbon channel with rods going through it are glued to formers where possible, then the ply gear plate glued to that... with the landing gear holes drilled through both and clamping both. That's off the top of my head, but sounds about right... in short, glue where possible.

I glued my CF to the wood. I figured it wouldn't hurt (I just did a motor box replacment on my 71 yesterday)

Thanks -- Putting the 71" kit in the 70" plane, pretty smooth it all seems to go together with no modifications.

The landing gear section (the bulks and all) is wider on the 71 than the 70. Other than that they are the same. I went to use the top section and bottom plate of the 70 motor box on my 71 but only could use the front section b/c once it got to the landing gear bulks it was different. Thats why I just redid my motor box with the 71 kit (so it would be right)

Decision Time...

Alright fellow addicts, I need your help. I am ready to order a 3s airframe from 3DHS. Choices are down to the 47" Extra SHP and the 48" EPP Extra. Which one and why?

Thanks,
Matt

Buckhuck, buckhuck1.5 or 300shp that is the question. i'm really thinking about the 1.5 but i would like to with the omega 103. has anyone tried it and how is vertical performance. looking for a little longer flight times and lighter weight for 2200's

Matt - still loving my Slick man!!

I agree with the others that you should also give serious consideration to the 48" Edge and "42 Slick. I have both and they are great.

The Edge is SUPER floaty, harriers are rock solid and it 3D's very well. The Slick... Well, it's basically a smaller version of the 51" so you know how it will perform.

Of the two you mentioned, I'd go with the EPP Extra simply because it's a great beater/practice plane.

Not having flown the SHP or the foamie, I'll recommend the 48 Edge. I love mine!!

It's fine with a 13x6.5 but the plane comes out a little tail heavy.

This is with the 103g Extreme Flight Torque motor

Some fun with the 3DHS 48" Edge (8 min 23 sec)

awsome video. is that the 2818 extreme flight and are you flying 3 cell 2200's. If so looks like it had plenty of power and good flight time. tail heavy does'nt bother me as long as the plane does'nt go for the sky when inverted.
