Google Analytics, Google Adwords Conversion and Google Adsense
Thats why google results are soooo good because the results you get are based off what other people searched then what they actually clicked on

Yeah, but it was getting ridiculous, every site I would go to I would have adds popping up that dealt with RC stuff, or I kept having banners (that I couldn't get rid of) that had nothing to do with RC stuff here on RCG... One of our forum members told me about "Do Not Track Plus" and it got rid of them.

Sorry for getting off topic here....

Trying to re-setup my 89 electric slick going HV. Can someone give me a hand please?

Lets just say a 8 channel HV rx.
2 2200mah rx packs ( I really like the redundant batts)
it's 12S5000mah.
CC 160HV
I've got 5 HV digital servos.

So to keep the system HV and redundant, I need to have what? two switches to go between the two 2200mah batteries and the RX; Unregulated. Don't most switches only handle like 3amps due to the connector? I

s 8 channels enough?

Thinking out loud here. 5 servos; 5 channels. esc. 2 switches, That's 8. What did I miss?

Oh and 2" arms for the elevators. how about the ailerons? 1.5 or 2?

Most receivers will handle higher voltage than 2S lipos
I'm using two 2S 2700mAH 25C, 2200 will work fine
12S 5000mAH packs are fine. I'm using 30C packs
HV160 is fine. That's what I'm using...
HV servos good... I'm using Hitech HS-7955TG's

I'm using the Spektrum AR9100 "Power Safe" receiver (9 channels) but if you are not using a Spektrum/JR radio you can use a power share board, and there are switches such as the "Wolverine" that handle higher voltages.

2" arms for elevator, 1.5 will max out the throw on the ailerons, and 3DHS specifies a 4" for rudder, but I'm sure a 3" will work fine...

Thanks for the confirmation; especially on the rudder. I think I've got an extra 3.5 new in the package so I'll use that. It's the switches that I'm mostly having problems with. As I mentioned the RX is HS and HV(Futaba)so I'm not worried about that but how does the 7.4v get to the RX if it has to go through HD switches that use servo plugs?

Common' theKM. I know you're a night owl. You're out there lurking somewhere.

can HD switches handle 2S lipo with servo plugs?... for sure. plugs are still limited to 3amps each though. For an 89, I'd be using at least four or five plugs to get the energy into receiver... soldering Y-leads to the switches, or making a power harness, whichever... the servos need the power, don't want them to bottleneck at the plugs.

as for what the switches can handle, that's up to the rating on the switch. the voices in my head don't like the idea of stressing the contacts in switches. two switches will help. when it comes to switches, I'm either replicating known setups, or making sure that there's plenty of overhead.

and yes yes yes, I'm still up far too late

How about one of the power expander boards such as the ones sold by "Smart-Fly"
