it does, i am talking about low level maneuvers where you need to set it down on something other than the landing gear

They're Secraft arms. Usually i just drill new holes, but there isn't much extra room on these. I guess I could just put some JB Weld in the holes and re-drill. That might be a nice quick and easy option...

Thanks for the ideas.

I also was one of the first ones to get the new lighter 5320 without the rear housing and the fiberglass X-mount. i waited an extra few days for ken to get the first batch in stock. that would explain why my batteries are more forward than his. i would compare your setup to each of ours and see where you lie to get a good idea of where you will be.
Thank you for the extra info. I got the new lightened motor too. It's pretty sweet!

Did the wing bolt break?

I didn't realize we were putting much stress on them.

You have a point, I might hold off on the foamy untill I can save up some money to convert the HB to MG with a gear set.

I think it was covered above, but that new lightened 5320 is probably a big part of that, I think that cuts about 3-4 ounces off. I didn't realize he had the lightened 5320 series.

Landings are not optional

Just fly them. If they do strip, put MG in them. I've had HBs last through some pretty hard stuff, especially in foam airframes which give some.

Holy cow I didnt relize that the lightened 5320 was that much lighter. Well since my 71 slick is down for a freashing up I guess I am going to send mine back to get lightened. 3 to 4 ounces is alot. I am also going to send back my 3615 to get lightened when I get the 71 back in the air (dont want to be without both of those at one time)

The 5320 was 5 ounces heavier than my 4325. So it will bring it closer to that weight

Some one suggest a good plane for a Motrolfly 4320-300 that's in stock at 3DHS...besides a Big Vyper...

One time I flew the 70" gas slick then out of nowhere I need to move the aileron stick 1/4 inch for it to fly straight so I immediatly landed it. One wing bolt started to come loose and the wing wanted to come out but didn't.
