Two good posts there, jcfab! Im starting to get confident I can land smoothly EVERY TIME now (Sunday's episode was, I feel, beyond my control) as well. Great feeling of relief to have that confidence!

+100

I LOVE to build things but I HATE fixin' things. The dread of tearing something up after you've flown pretty good is horrible. It's good to know that the ground can be your friend.

No doubt! What was there, around 5 incidents in the 3DHS threads alone?

something like that. Do you have two servos in the tail of your 71? Or you running pull pull?

Mine is electric and was definitely nose heavy, so, I had to put my rudder servo in the tail.

That is real surprising as I thought only gassers would need a dual tail servo setup.

Both are in the tail. I have my ignition and Rx batteries right behind the wing tube. It balanced out perfectly, maybe the GT33 is a lot lighter than the DLE? I also noticed Hugo had a strip of lead ballast under the tail wheel bracket.

OS GT is heavier than a DLE 30. Perhaps that receiver battery needs to move forward to the wing tube. Thanks for the setup detail.

Check this thread out, and you will find other people whose electric Slicks have come out nose heavy......3DHS must have figured out a way to make the back end of the fuselage lighter.....
