Got to try it

start by flying basic inverted circles... then add the rudder that points the nose at the ground which will require more elevator input to keep the plane from hitting the planet. that's basically it

Got to try it
Learn to upright harrier around then go from harrier to a hover.

Then learn the same thing but now inverted. Takes a while for most.

What do you call that !


What's the move at the 3:44 mark called and how would one go about flying it just like Joe, OK lots of practice, and maybe never like him, but I would like to give it a try,what would the the stick movements be.

PM creepedge. He has a few sets of landing gear for a 71 slick. He might be willing to sell a set (I know he has one thats new never mounted and one that was on his RIP slick that I think is still good)

I've no clue what it's called, I've been calling it a "sit and spin" but I'm not sure if I heard that somewhere or what. I'm no help on how to do them as I can't get it figured out. I did come close to holding one last weekend for a few rotations before it popped out. They are pretty cool looking though.

I get into them from a rolling harrier into an upline, I hold left rudder and down elevator, its all about feathering the throttle and aileron to hold into the spin although the throttle is almost pegged. I call it a funnel as it looks similar to what I call a funnel with a heli.

seems like Joe uses right rudder. I feel like inverted harrier and inverted flat spins work better with right rudder, so naturally this maneuver would as well. but if you can do it with left that's awesome.

I love watching Joe do that one. would be even more amazing 8' lower .

the rudder depends on which way you get into it, and i just call it a funnel, its really not the same stick movements as the rudder and elevator are pegged. Once you get the hang of them they really are easy, I have found my little 48 edge to be the easiest to do them with but my 40% (other brand) extra makes them look super cool. I have actually got the edge to do them in the same direction with both rudder directions it is really just the entry. I guess its kind of like a lomchevak that you hold throttle at the top on, then follow up with good throttle and aileron management.
