Is it safe to use one battery? Not being sarcastic just dont know. Seems most people use two batteries. With the IBEC I could use one 2100 LIFE pack and be done?

...over on FG it's getting quite a movement, one less battery, is an ignition kill, just plugs into the receiver... very cool. I'll be using it myself in my upcoming projects.

If it was me, I'd start looking for problems elsewhere before I ditched the smart fly ignition kill. Its way to valuable and frankly not likely to be the cause of the dead stick. Have you gone over your fuel system and checked for leaks, kinks, etc?

I would ditch the smartfly optical kill. I had one go bad on my 104. Use a ibec it has a kill built into it.

89 Slick / DA 60


This is my flight this weekend. It's amazing the only thing I need is a motor box kit and cowl.Nothing else was damaged,don't know what happened.

weight? im curious to what electric motor would be good. is it more of a a60-6xs/5320 size or a a50-16s or somewhere inbetween like an a50-12L. maybe some pics of the innards would be cool haha
