Guys, I made a small crease or crush in the top of my fuselage on my 89' Slick, my camper shell door hit it. Is there a way to get it back in shape?

A heat gun to shrink the covering back will make it less noticable.

Can you get your hand back there to push it out? If so push it out and poke some small holes in the covering to seep some ca in there to hold it.

89 has the foam turtle deck correct? Is the foam damaged at all?

If the foam is fine then I would cut the covering try and get the balsa damp push it out a little, ca the cracks, sand it and recover

Yes I can get my hand in there easily, try pushing it out pushed pretty firmly, seems the foam just compress and can't get the sheeting to push back.Wonder if I should try and remove some of the foam then push it out then replace the foam.

Don't want to recover, really don't have the expierience to do that large of an area, the whole red pary of the fuse. Don't know if there is a good looking decal I can place there or not. If there was I could remove the small area of covering, fill the impression then place a decal of some sort over it. I will wait to hear back on some other ideas, but I'm thinking removing a small piece of the foam turtle deck under neath the sheating and pushing it back up an replacing the foam might work.

Took some foam out, soaked the balsa sheeting with water, was able to push it back pretty good. Now I need to replace the foam, wonder if there is anything else I can fill the hole where I took the foam out, something light and easy to mold to shape.

inject water into the balsa with a needle and then heat it with a heat gun and it will swell back up a little
