with how i like to fly my planes they all need just a touch of up elevator for KE in both directions. i have been pushing my cg more forward so i have been able to get a little less mixing. it has never needed to be above 7% though.

Question for you about ParaBoards. When using one to parallel charge two 3s 3700 packs, should the charging capacity be set to 3700, or 7400 mAh?

7400. With Parallel charging, the voltage stays the same, while the capacity increases with each pack you add.

I think of parallel charging as one big battery. add all the mah together, voltage stays the same.

That's the best way to think about it

Okay, as long as we are talking about parallel charging, I know they say you should only charge the same size packs at the same time, but, could I get away with charging my 2s 460's at the same time as my 2s 500's? Isn't the final voltage going to be the determining factor of when the packs are done?

I don't believe they say that, actually. You need to charge the same cell count...but not size.

I charge 6s 4000, 5000, and 6000 all at the same time. no issues. I think you'll be safe with the jump from 460-500 .

not recommended, but I've also *accidentally* put some charged and discharged packs on the parallel board. they equalized fairly quickly, but there was no heat and no damage to the pack as far as I could tell.

Dang, did not know that I've been charging my 2s 450, six at a time set at 450 mah took forever and would never fully charge.

6*450=2700mah

so 1c charge would be 2.7 amps.

as for setting mah limits, mine are at 10,000 so they don't interfere. I do babysit my charging station tho.

And batteries connected in series are just the opposite. Mah stays the same, but the voltage increases.
