Post 28 . . . . Have to try that on a larger size quad, Check the link in the post , he has patterns and some instructions too. Very cool. I might change it up a bit though.

It seems the common thread is Quad copters are a good missile launch platforms.
great job ED

The Pepsi bottle . . .looks like a transport of some kind.
Find another without the swirl in the windshield, put some windows on the side and some kind of logo .
You are really on to something, looks great .

I have scaled it up for my much larger Tricopter. I didn't want to post it here because it was off-topic. Check out my blog for a printable pattern.

That would be cool, but I'm partial to the Alien. Anything that makes the wife even semi-interested in my R/C hobby.

At least she was checking out "other bodies" with me.... haha.. sorry...

(just my take on the shape)
If you changed the "lunch box" show that too.

Did you add LED's ?
love to see that too but mostly how you hooked it up.

I'll kick it off with the fighter pod I made for the MQX

Well my sinewinder (knightrider) lights came in the other day, I'm waiting on a new 4 in 1 board and some other parts before I make the install permanent. I'll keep the old board as backup. Anyways here is a short vid showing how I'll probably set them up. I think I'll wire them into the main power since they run on 3v. I covered the front of the lights with black tape to hide the circuit board, and siliconed a thin strip of black plastic to the back to reinforce them. The added weight should be minimal and I can always pull that stuff off if its effects flight to much. I would guess mods or not the thing only weighs a couple grams, especially once I cut off the excess wire I won't need when I wire it to power plug.

blade mqx cylon knight rider (0 min 49 sec)

Should help with orientation too at least when its not to bright, which I definitely need ops:

I was thinking of ordering one of those models myself. I like what you did with the egg too...another thing I was looking into but couldn't find a clear one. Did find a red one that would work that some pop-rocks come in though, also green and blue...not sure if I'll use it though. Anyways only one suggestion...paint the aliens eyes black, and maybe the alien grey or with glowing paint....my 2 cents
