Anyone tried a part of a light weight water bottle for a body replacement?

Just added this one to the website, now you have another option.
www.parkflyerplastics.com

This one requires less assembly because the pilot head is part of the body and the canopy is very small saving a little weight.
I painted the interior but I suppose markers would do just as well.
The rest of the markings was done with tape and number stickers bought at Office Depot.

I ordered one. Now I need to find a good gloss Florescent Orange Spray Paint for at least the front.
Thanks

Michael's Art's and Crafts has 50% off coupon for a single item all this week. Go to their "weekly ad" section in their main site, www.michaels.com. You can print as many as you want, but can only use one per day/store (or transaction depending on if your clerk is nice). I stopped by two on the way home and got the small cans of spray paint for just under $2.00 each.

Anyone know if I should be putting primer or sanding the plastic before I spray paint? So far the outcome has been okay, but I do see potential chipping.

I will for sure will pick up one of those next week. I have to wait for my credit card cycle to end... spent my heli budget a week into it

Have a good week everyone!

Sorry I can't send these out with decals but many would not use them any way and the cost to print them would drive up the cost.
Besides I think half the fun is in making them your own any way.

How about a another of Sparkies pods done up in Euro 1 camo and a little imagination with an air brush. The pod/fuselage flies extremely well and is great in the air. Just keep it away from the trees and bushes as the camo works quite well. ed

Gents I wish I had been the one to do the paint but a good friend grabbed the kit from me and wanted to get a little bit of time on his new 14 dollar air brush from Harbor Frieght. Gentlemens name is Royce Lummas and he does outstanding work as you can see. I also love to paint but right now my time is limited. He really gets a kick out of doing it and he holds a number of PHDs and wrights his name with a Dr in front of it. Teaches advanced management classes at the local University (UTA) and retired as I did from Lockheed Martin here in Ft Worth. A great friend and a lot of fun. Attached are a couple of photos of Royces new Hurry Fighter of WWII.

I also like Jarels design above as it beats hell out of all the series of bug shaped shells that are coming out now. ed
