If I remember right, Cmala has the 103 in his 48" Edge.

Some fun with the 3DHS 48" Edge (8 min 23 sec)

There is nothing wrong with the 103g motor, as i said you can still do it all with that motor, but some folks(including myself) would like a little more power. On my blog i have a video of the SHP on the 103g motor and am hoping to get some footage with the 130 next week.

Had. Past tense.

Edge is repairable. Given the choice, I would choose the 130 but if you have a 103 on hand then use it.

for a motor on the shp I would use whatever joe had at fli. That setup looked nice.

Ben , Amy, Noll and a few of the 3dhobbyshop sponsored pilots plan to attend. Andrew Jesky and Joe Smith have been on the property in the past and hopefully we'll see them again real soon. hope to see you there

Joe uses the same setup on all of the 48" planes.

I assume the reason for recommending the 103 was the V3 SHP. With 65MGs in the tail and a 130g motor you probably could not achieve a neutral cg, the battery pack would hit the wing tube. My V3 SHP has a 123g Motrolfly motor and I have my battery 1/2" from the wing tube and the cg is slightly ahead of neutral, however I'm running Savox digitals in the tail which are slightly heavier than the 65MGs.

Since the V4 SHP is pull-pull with a heavier tail due to the airfoils, you should be able to put a 130g motor on it and still have plenty of room to hit a neutral cg with the battery ahead of the wing tube.

Looks like Joe's using his back up Slick at XFC. Extra is toast from possible lock out.

Radio WARS again.........................lock out.......................I thought only happens to spektrum/jr.......................but I'm really sad to hear anything like that no matter who it happens it to no matter what equipment or reason such as bad servo.

Maybe a servo failed? (that happened to me once.)

He had been chasing a problem with it for a few weeks. Thought he had it solved, but apparently not. It doesn't appear to be a radio issue because he used two different transmitters, as well as, two different receivers and they both resulted in the same issues. He didn't have any problems using the same TX on his other planes. It's sad to see. He really had that plane dialed in and he was flying it so well. Such is the hobby though...

Ummmm I put a 130g on my shp and the rudder servo as pull/pull. Will that be ok? I'm confused.
