Check a page or two ago about setting CG using KE. Trim to level flight at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle in level flight, then roll to KE. Change battery location based on the results. Tail heavy will pull toward gear, nose heavy will pull toward canopy.

I have my 48" Edge holding perfect KE with nearly no coupling just by adjusting the CG. Not sure what the pros do - but that worked for me and in the progress made all other aspects of flying the airplane easier, including landings.

I am sure the pros use CG to get the coupling as low as possible, and then mix it out.

None of my airplanes have mixes, I just fly with the correct CoG.

Yeah, the pros set their CG so it is very close to neutral I am sure..Which means that all control surfaces should be in a neutral position and cause the plane to fly level. Technically speaking, unless their is a design flaw, or build flaw with a plane, you should be able to balance the plane with nothing but a good CG.

Actually AJ (Pro) likes slightly Nose Heavy airplanes. Better Precision. So no, the Control Surface, (Elevator) is not going to be (neutral position). Will have some Up Trim.

If you start getting Neutral to Tail Heavy, it is going to balloon up on you more and that can get you in trouble in some manuvers. Ok for low hucking if you can do Full (Deadstick) Harrier Landings already. If you are flying mixed Precision and 3D, gets harder to do the Precision side.

Last I heard Joe was flying Neutral or a tad ahead of Neutral to the Nose side...

That was the "very close" part heritage...I seriously doubt that AJ, Joe, or any other really good pilot is adding more than a couple clicks of trim (off a centered surface) to achieve level flight.
