Help!! My weller soldering gun just crashed and I want a good soldering iron station. I know you experts have recommended some in the past, but I lost all my bookmarks. I appreciate your recommendations on what to get and where to get it.

Thanks, Dave

Thanks to everyone who had some input on the differences between the Futaba 8FG super and the Futaba 10CAG. I wish I had someone close to me that has one so I could get a feel for it. Coming from the A9 I'm afraid I'm going to dislike how light the 8FG is.

The 8fg is also a faster radio which is one reason it is so common among the heli guys. One of the top Heli pilots in the world (nick maxwell) and has won many major competitions with it. Just some of the various reasons I wouldn't trade the 8fg for anything.
There are only two things I don't like about my 8FG: it's too light and the sides/back are not rubberized. Certainly not enough to make me want a different radio though.

I don't know about you, but if someone offered to trade an 18MZ for my 8FG, I would do it.

Put the piece of wood on there and bolt the metal mount to it if you can afford the extra weight.
