Also, what can someone show me a diagram of the whole smart fly system things?
Like I just need a battery for the Rx and a bvattery for the ignition....and the reciever. Thats it?
Just like normal? Or is there some fancy little board that is reccommended?
Thanks guys,

The only difference in them is the length of the motorbox. At least on my 72 Extra, anyway. You could buy a gas motorbox and swap them out.

That is not the only difference on a slick.

From what I understand the cowl and canopy are different sizes. I don't know how that impacts the motor box. I think you might be right about a gas motor box fitting in there but make sure you get confirmation that it will actually work.

Yea - I've been missing ol' Dave as well. I think he had recently gotten into golf pretty hot and heavy so I'm guessing that's where he's been spending most of his time lately?

My point with golf is that you pay big green fees and all you have is a memory of it. I usually come home with complete planes and one golf trip could buy a couple planes and you have nothing to show for it... not to mention all the equipment and clothes you need for it. Anyway... I think at the stage of the the hobby I am in planes are cheaper than golf... I wouldn't mind if I had the budget to make my hobby more expensive than golf lol.
