tried braving the heat today, it was stupid hot out at a local club's open house. Ended up with couple of flights, took the last flight on my Ultimate AMR....sold it while i was there (PA was at the event giving a seminar and demoing their products) and had a motor box failure on probably my favorite plane so that was pretty disappointing.

The diode affects more discharging than charging. When I asked the question I was more asking about the physical battery location as the Valley View Lipo for the 8FG has three leads. One connected to the radio, one for charging and one for balancing. You do not need to use the radio charge adapter. As I mentioned the factory battery provides me with plenty of flying time, I most likely won't change soon as I am buying another plane.

Hey Guys, for any interested, Ace Hardware is having a 4th of July sale. The have a great deal going on Rubbermaid coolers. 48qt ones (insulation isn't great, but for the price is fine) hard sided for $19.99, but there is a $10 rebate. So, for $10.00, really not a bad deal. Just picked up two to have specifically to keep in the trailer for attending events
