Outrageous and Miss Dara Kits

Guys,

I am planning on doing another run of these two kits. Kit includes, laser cut wood for fuselage, wing and tail construction. Landing gear, wing tube, glass cowl, wheel pants, canopy and plans. The cost will be $150 + shipping. Timing wise, I will make final decisions based on the response I get to this post.

If you are interested please let me know.

Thanks,

Dan

Miss Dara

Hi Dan

I wish I had known this before I purchased the Shoestring!

Does this mean the Nitro Models ARF will not happen?

Dan Is Hobby Lobby still planning to produce the Outrageous as an ARF or is that a dead issue now.

No the Miss DARA is still in the works and will be available soon. I am just offering kits as some have asked.

Ken,

Unfortunately, we received word that Hobby-Lobby has decided to not produce the Outrageous. This was a huge struggle for them and their current business just didn't have room for the airplane. I respect this and have moved on. I can say that Jerry and I are looking for another ARF producer to provide the airplane. I cannot provide any details as to the whys and hows until it is a done deal. We are going to be more cautious than we were with Hobby-Lobby.

Dan Thats just alot of wasted months for guys who where waiting for the Outrageous, very disappointing.
Hope you & Jerry find a very reliable ARF producer.

kits

After my recent experience with the Shoestring ARF I have decided that is enough!

It would seem that those that want quality aircraft will have to build their own. Last year I built one of Dan's Miss Dara kits. Sure you had to build it, but it went together the way an airplane should.

I can thouroughly recommend it.

ED - I agree.....
No comparison between a well built kit (by an experienced or supervised builder) and an ARF....the kit build is the best. I have seen so many ARF's in the last two years come apart mid air and loose the motor and mount the same way.
You almost have to rebuild and strengthen it anyway prior to flight just to make it safe!
But I realize not everyone has the time to build....soooooo.....

PS. Oh Yeah don't look for anything new made of wood to come from Nitro Planes...I won't even go to their site anymore...wast of time, everything is "OUT OF STOCK"!

I would love one, but unfortunately my building board is full and backed up at the moment. I've got Red's Nemesis and then a pair of tandem wing aircraft that are scratch builds.
