Lets hold thumbs for Sunday.
Clouds seems to have lifted with a 35km/h NNW for those who want to fly the hefties. Give Dylan a ring for an update on the rain. He's currently there.

.....and it was open for an hour and the cloud cover decended over Signal Hill again.

When the wind blows
African's Avatar
Some folk braved the strong winds and flew between the rain On Saturday . Another thing though on Sunday , the wind was straight up the slope and a constant 25 km and no rain .
At least 15 - 20 guys between 11 - 5 pm . Chappies was raining and we had the dedicated and enthusiastic Toss team of Kevin F , Steve M , Malcolm R and Tim WB paying us a visit . War was eminent and between AFC and TOSS the fight began , laughter instead of tears followed . We had 2 new guys on the hill and there maiden flights took place and how fantastic it is to see how they turn into young boys again . Help was given and they are hooked . Next is there lesson in landings :-) We had Francois and Tokkie all the way from Paarl with there correx Migs enjoying flying down the hill , Don recently came along from a power background And has taken to slope soaring like a duck to water ! He already owns 4 slopies ! And the list is not getting shorter . Two new PSS models was spotted on the hill built by Alex Selkirk , an A-4 Skyhawk and a Fiat , really cool looking and flying models .Dylan was very happy with his Al Dee gezs ,don't know how to spell it or was it a Woll Tee isch :-) It was moving along nicely and he was very happy indeed . Jakes will post some pic later I hope
When the wind blows look up at sky and say , I want to fly ...

Sloping fun @ Signall Hill

Anton, thanks for the report! Stunning day of sloping. The combat with the TOSS club was once again GREAT fun! It was good to see a couple of new faces. Thanks to Dylan for letting me fly your Aldij. That was awesome! Charl, it was great to see you on the slope also. You did well with that Spitty of yours.

Now we are just waiting on Wentzel to join us again.

Will post pics just now...

Sorry I missed the afternoon action, I bailed at 11:30 from Chapman's with a soggy B-Wing due to other commitments, looks everyone had a blast!

On a different note, does anyone have an Aldij or Prodij in good condition that they would like to sell? If so, give me a ring on 021 506 6055 or 084 819 0102 after hours.

Cheers
David

I'm a bit too busy during the week and won't be able to make it. Wind looks good for Wednesday & Thursday. Enjoy!

Hi guys.
Does anybody know what the plastic is called that can be folded over the leading edge of my correx wings to protect it. Also need to know where to get hold of some.
Thanx

Slope fanatic
Hi

Not sure, but I have been using cross-weave tape with great success on the leading edge and nose area of my MIG 7.
