Since it was going off topic anyhow .... Having owned somewhere around 30 (probably way more) Walkeras and 20 Blades I would say over all and personally I have been much happier with Blade QC and if I have an issue they fix it. Now given both have had issues but with Walkera I have seen a lot more. Trend setting I think both do well, reason being I flew the first 4#3 years before another micro single blade FP was available. Sure it was hard as hell to control broke easy but it flew. Blade too with the mcpx and it took a while before Walkera came out with the miniCP (which IMHO flew better than a mcpx v2). Then setting a new trend Blade came out with a well designed 130x 2s which does fly quite well and is very powerful out of the box. Then of course the new nano which is another new 80 size trend. ( I am early awaiting what Walkera comes out with to combat this) I know you think the 130x has huge issues but in reality if present are easily fixable. I have had far more issues with Walkeras such as bad boards an such out of the box. On 2 of my 4G3's they would take about ten times to bind well otherwise you would have jumpy servos. Speaking of servos most dont know or forget that a while back Walkera had way worse servos compared to now (though still use super brittle gears). Walkera knowing there were many issues with the servos continued to released v1's of certain helis trying to get rid of their old stock. Once the stock was near depletion they came out with a v2 heli with new servos. Sure Walkera put flybarless in the first micro heli's but they had lots of issues. Like always the Walkera model of releasing v2,v3,v4 to fix the issues was never my favorite model and is why resell value is horrible. I would take you up any day pitting my 130x against a walkera 120d02s even though you have a vibe free spool up (so do I). However I do know two fold, that they have been refining that heli since the first 4g6 (how many revisions and changes is that) and I know the inherent issues for the gyros built in and what you are unable to do precisely with them. People that complain about the 130x and its issues and say Walkera is bettter is realy quite laughable because they are seemingly forget about needed multiple revisions done to get a product to fly well. Has Blade been perfect...nope, though IMHO neither have no issues and I wont forget that. BTW do you have a v1 or a v2 120d02s? Now with all that blah blah said i will happily buy another Walkera when they come out with their own version of a 130x with 2s power out of the box and a great gyro that doesnt have various limitations. Both brands have plus and minus's and ALL brands have teething issues on most new heli releases. On the large scale of things I have been happier with my Blade purchases because usually they have less issues and if needed I can get customer service On the 300x Walkera has nothing that can compete period. Even with my servo rub it is one of the smoothest out of the box heli's I have ever flown. So IMHO you have made a wise choice even if you only bought it for the beastx...enjoy |

300x vs ncpx (I think my plan is to eventually add a 450x and 130x come v2 of the 130x).
I haven't read the last page or so, but from what I see it's a walkera vs blade debate. All I will say is I haven't purchased a walkera product yet.. I wen't through my cheap heli phase 4+ years ago with esky and learned my lesson then. Waiting 3 weeks for a $3 part from overseas sucks big time. Walkera was known as crap then with horrible electronics, maybe they have changed, maybe they haven't.. But I'm done playing the wait 2-3 weeks for a part game. The way I see it, walkera releases turds, and blade polishes them. I'll take the polished turd over the normal turd for a few dollars more pls. |

Try thus - set your rail gain to 100% and spool up you should see the tail wagging madly. Don't attempt to take off just put the heli on a flat surface and go to mid stick. This will tell us if the gain setting you are changing on your Tx is the right one. If you have a jr radio channel 5 is the gain channel. If younger a mad tail wag then change the gain to say 55% and try again the tail will probably drift now. Let us know how this goes. If the tail drifts at 55 then go up in 10s until the drift stops.

Argh phone corrections made z mess of part of that last post.
Try this - set your tail gain... Not if younger. Should be if you get a mad tail... |

Heeeelllppp
I just bought a 300x. I am not sure of the pitch setup. I put the red/black markers on the tips to show blade seperation. Do you adjust the upper or lower linkage connections to mechanically balance out the pitch ( trim?) I have a Blade 450 3D but it has a flybar and I am not current on the BeatsX. Do you trim with mechanical linkage or adjust with the BeastX?

Upper for blade tracking, lower for swash level.

If your blades are balanced, undamaged and you have 0 pitch at midstick you shouldnt need blade tape to check tracking because most likely it wouldnt be needed
The over all quality of blades are a lot better than they used to be. I havent found one in a long while that had enough of an imperfection to require real tracking. |

Any other carbon rotor solutions other than blades for $35? Smashed my new set up today (2 flights old), can't find any more in the 245mm size.
Also, whenever I hit idle up the heli tilts to the right like I'm giving it cyclic. It won't do it one flight, but it will do it another. I thought it was maybe the canopy hitting a link but I made sure it's not contacting. Any suggestions? |
