Yeah, it's a smaller heli with less mass, less power, and a higher disc loading. It's never going to fly like the 450X unless you stretch it to run longer blades and add more power. But then.... well, you may as well fly the 450X.

Can you re-state? This makes no sense.

Requires replacement of the tail servo, or not?

Why not make sense?

Really? You want an answer to this? OK. What's a "Servais" and why is it capitalized? And who is "he"? And who "Say" it? "on what"?? what does that mean?

My apologies if English is not your first language for sure!

In any case I'm flying it fine on the stock servo. I think many others are OK too. It seems you can do better speed-wise (accuracy too?) and this heli is good enough to have it make a difference. But like anything else it's a matter of degree. I read where one guy had it melt! That's a little worrisome, hoping that was just a malfunction.

Very sorry for giving you a bad time.

You can replace it later if you want. It is very flyable with the stock servo. The tail stays locked in for me. I'm sure others will chime in.

Robbi,

I have only been flying the 300X for a short while, less than 10 flights, but I VERY MUCH like this helicopter. The only thing I have done is replace the main blades with Carbon Fibre blades. It flies great, and the tail holds VERY well in the mild 3D and normal flying I put the helicopter through.

Good luck,

Marlin

I like it very much. But I don't push it hard. It's a stable enough machine that I have never crashed it, not even a hard landing. I'd say don't worry about the tail servo right away. Go ahead and fly it stock. And, like Fish says, get the CF blades. This is a better upgrade than the servo. It really smooths things out. If you do want to upgrade the tail servo, here's a digital someone has used: http://helidirect.com/align-ds425m-d...01-p-26780.hdx

I got a great deal at a little store in Salem, OR when I was visiting my in-laws. $320, no tax, no shipping, but you have to go to Salem! I don't know where others are buying theirs.

I think he was asking "where do you buy the carbon fiber main blades"

Carbon blades choices for the 300X are very limited right now. The only blades that fit without using shims are the ones offered by Blade themselves:
http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...x-bsr-BLH4501C

Other than those, you can use any blade that fits the Gaui X2. BUT, you will need to use shim washers at the root because they are thinner than stock.

I'm flying a set of blades designed for the Gaui X2, purchased from clubheli.com. I like them very much, but unfortunately they are out of stock:
http://www.clubheli.com/255mm-Carbon...55_p_3783.html

Edge makes X2 blades:
http://www.readyheli.com/LE-253-EDGE...s_p_40624.html

As does SAB:
http://helidirect.com/sab-redwhitebl...ht-p-21188.hdx

Until the aftermarket catches up with the 300X, we are basically stuck paying too much for Blade brand CF blades, using the stock woodies, or searching for Gaui X2 blades.
