G'day!

How about the CG? With my dle installed, empty fuel and the 2 battery on the thank, it results to be tail heavy!

Suspended at 102mm it hang 10/15 degrees up...i will need about 300 g near the motor mount.

I had to put 10 ounces of weight on the firewall, I was also tail heavy.

Everything is ok, the new wheels are installed and the w.e. that is coming should be the right one

Ok, I did it!
iMaidened it in Saturday.

I was worried about CG location and the big amount of wheight to add on the nose. But I was wrong, as the indicated cg is too much forward.

However, Dle took just two pull on the propr to start, it was running even if the air was closed
After the routine controls on the surface movement and motor thrust (or trust?!?) i rolled to the strip. The baloon 5,5" sized dubro wheel are fantastic. They roll well even if the terrain is full of holes.

On the rwy, with 1/3 gas the plane accelerate smoothly and take off in less than 10 mts.
The flight doesn't require any trim correction, neither with extended flaps.

I'm very happy with this Super Cub, it's very agile in the air. It can fly as slow as a walking man. It's fantastic to see a big airplane to fly that way.

5 Stars, but not for the plastic clevis in the box.

I knew you would love it,that DLE engine is a great fit for this bird isnt it? Congrats on the maiden ask.

Of course!
DLE is a really good and also easy to use engine. It's my first gasser and it makes me love gas engines.

Now i'm running a 16/8 prop, but trough a few liters i will run a 17/6 that is the best choise for this cub in my opinion.

I kept the 16x8 prop on mine, it runs and flies so good I didnt want to change a thing.

As that from 70% of the gas, the plane won't accelerate anymore, by using a larger but with less pitch prop I hope to gain some trust and to lose a bit of speed.

It will give you more thrust and it will slow the plane down , the prop wont spin as fast,but she will climb like a home sick angel.
