If this is accurate, how will the DX18 fit in the recommended SPM6708 case with spec dimensions of 8.5" wide x 10.0" high x 13.25" long?

I'm also using the single Spektrum case with DX18 and it fits nicely inside.

Plug in a buddy cable to power it up. That will disengage the RF deck.

I assume that will work on the 11x then also?

I don't know about the 11X in particular, but all the JR and Spektrum radios I've used follow that same principle. Powering by inserting the buddy cable disables the RF deck.

Mine has the same issue. I sent a video to Horizon and they said it was not normal and to immediately send in the radio. But, I just received it back with a note from the technician that worked on it that the glitching is nothing to worry about, acknowledging that it gets much more visible as the battery charge gets lower. He said that the radio is fully functional and passes all diagnostic checks.

My DX18 was returned with the battery lower than I had ever run it, but not low enough to trigger an alarm. The screen glitches were much more significant and reduced drastically upon fully charging the unit. That is probably why I didn't notice the glitches in my LHS.

So, if this is a feature of this $800 radio I'm flabbergasted. I am hoping that this issue is rare and that the technician's response is a fluke rather than Horizon's policy.

So, is anyone else seeing this issue? (I have seen 3 users, including me, report this issue thus far). Have you run your battery low without screen glitches?

I need to know if I need to push back and get my radio fixed or to just accept this as a quirk of this radio.

Thanks! -Randy
