yeah i noticed that the one on the left is real...but the one on the right is your work! and it also explains why you are so good with it since you used to work with it.

hey you formulas figuring guys out there... I'm not going to word this correctly but you'll get the jest of it I hope...

what is the thrust ratio or ounces of thrust per pound or however it's titled?

was thinking the stock setup might fall into the sport aerobatic group whereas we see in the video the lil Cubby knife-edgin' etc

looks like the stock setup is:
  • Flying Weight... 3.17 oz (90 g)
  • Prop................ 5x2.75
  • motor.............. BL180 2500Kv
  • lipo................. 7.4V 2S 180mAh 20C

hhmm... maybe it its figured by watts, I just found a this:
  • 70-90 watts/lb. Trainer and slow flying aerobatic models.
  • 90-110 watts/lb. Sport aerobatic and fast flying scale models.
  • 110-130 watts/lb. advanced aerobatic and high speed models
  • 130-150 watts/lb. Lightly loaded 3D models and ducted fans.
  • 150-200+ watts/lb. Unlimited performance 3D models.

Exactly the same powertrain as the Beast 3D or the Sbach.

So:

Theory: 11oz or 330gr of thrust, 0.108HP, 79watts

Real: Probably half that thrust so 5.5oz or 165gr and only 24 watts

About right guys?

The size of the carbon cub is interesting. In addition to appearently matching the umx powertrain - it leaves parkzone an option to make a less expensive, smaller as3x 1s cub...

A $100 1s cub (especially if they could give in more power than the last version could be a hobby zone champ killer.

IMO there's only one missing component in HH plan to own my wallet:
The model memory limit in the dx8!
At this rate even 30 model memory is insufficient.
I wonder if this could be expandable via firmware update.
Reloading models from an SD card and rebinding all the tine would be a pain.
DX8 x 2 = 60 models

Couldn't you simply have two SD cards and just load/unload as required?
