It looks great so I'll add it to my shopping list. But I understood the DV, DVa & III were sesquiplanes [lower wing span less than upper] so why are all these models biplanes?

Looks like about 95% were biplanes and only say 5% were sesquiplanes? I wonder how their flying characteristics compared. Maybe the ses turned quicker but the bipe was more stable?

According to what I can find it seems both the D.III and the D.V and D.Va were sesquis with a lower wing with only one spar...

A thinned black India Ink wash should probably do it. That's what military and train modelers use for weathering/blending.

That or crash it into the dirt.

Wasn't that small D.VII made of thin, Depron-like foam?
Cause the Albatros is an EPO-plane, like the Se.5a...

We are talking about different technologies here... still, Parkzone's first fighters were also made of Depron-like foam and of course had round fuselages...

The Eflite SE5a and Folker are ultra-lights with a flying weight at approximately 1/2 lb. A box fuselage is much simpler to construct with minimum weight. The PZ planes are solid foam which can be constructed in any profile without weight penalty.

I fly mostly off rough grass/dirt. Getting a weathered look's not been a problem.

What I gathered from that was that round fuselages aren't hard to make, or make flyable, they're just hard to produce straight. Getting a round fuselage to come out straight off the production line was the issue, but surely you've seen the Wildcat, T-28 & P-47. They may not be totally round, but they aren't square either.

Bruce Dickenson of Iron Maiden once told a fan that you can't have keyboards in heavy metal (this was during the Power Slave tour). The very next album (Somewhere in Time), had keyboards. Or like the RUSH song Tom Sawyer has this line:
"He knows changes aren't permanent, but change is".

Wing Rigging


The new Parkzone Albatros D.Va model (EXCELLENT scale!) just begs for some added wing rigging that the full size Albatros D.Va had, which was not too much to model as is seen here:





Any ideas? Spiderwire or?
