It doesn't matter where this post is at.... Your the only one that is reading it to believe it. Just saw a post where there were at least 10 people buying planes all at once from them.... yea, no slow down... :/

That's perfectly fine. You seem to be missing the point of the post. The point is it's been proven more times than not Banana Hobby ends up screwing their customers over. After having that info you or anyone else can decide if they want to do business with such a company. And trust me plenty of people are seeing this post and that's all it was intended to do.

As it's been said before the BBB is a suspect organization when ratings come into play however the total number of complaints for a company can't be ignored.
If someone has been ripped-off or treated badly by BH, the best thing to do is issue a charge-back through your cc....not paypal and to file a complaint with the attorney general's office in Sacramento, CA.

Banana Hobby

I've been reading all about how bad the support is and how terrible their product is, but have to say that I have so far not had an issue. I just bought their 79" B-17 and cannot believe how beautiful this plane is. I own quite a number of different planes from Parkzone, a wonderful nitro Hangar 9 P-51 (which I can't fly around my property due to horses), Nitro Planes B-25 and lastly a piece of junk from Eflite; a Hawker Hurricane. Now, I've been flying for around 30 years and have gone from kits to ARF/BNF/RTF, etc and would put this B-17 from Banana Hobby very high on the list! If I were to put down a plane and their support there of, I'd say that anyone buying something from Eflite should BEWARE! Nothing but issues and engineering flaws with their planes.
Also, watching Pete fly and seeing how old he is, is an absolute treat. No I don't work for, nor am related to anyone at Banana Hobby, I work for the biggest test equipment manufacturer in the world and run a calibration lab for them.

IMO, the reason there are many "complaints" vs BH is the fact that they have many customers.

Considering their vast and very interesting selection as well as their very reasonable pricing and shipping (sometimes free), they are probably one of the largest, if not the largest retailer of foamies (in terms of volume) in North America.

Simple math will tell us that given the same "dissatisfaction" percentage as other retailers who sells fewer models, BH's absolute number of complaints will be higher than everyone else's.

Have you flown the B-17 many times yet? Just wondering as BH's giant Corsair and P-40 look beautiful too but they are plagued with costly issues and the folks who bought them had to go directly to the manufacturer for parts. Sad story if you read through the threads. I hope the B-17 holds up for you and proves to have good electronics and mechanics.

All I can go on is my own experience.... Order to arrival...4 days. Everything I ordered I got. Everything works so I'm satisfied.

BH is hit and miss. They sent me a plane kit with no wings. Obviously, the wings were used for something else. It took numerous phone calls, pictures, and chats to get the set of wings. Two weeks of my life was stolen.

I wish people would lighten up. The world will be a better place, or happier at least. I sure hope none of the disgruntled customers walk up to the BH warehouse and start shooting everybody, that's what I feel from some of the hate posts.

BH is far from perfect, yeah. Bad news travels fast and it seems like there is a BH hatefest every other thread Well, I got good news and I want to spread that too.

In 10 weeks, I have ordered 5 planes from BH and seriously thinking about another. So far so good. Sure BH is far from perfect, but considering I got a couple of real pretty cool RTF F6F's for $122.00 each shipped and an Art Tech ARF 1300mm P51 for $119.00 shipped, I can spot BH some foul-ups.

After all, BH is not Sears, Walmart or Home Depot.

They are a high volume online r/c store and for that reason, we can enjoy nice planes, great selection and prices. I am just posting to even up the score and I don't get paid for posting. Just calling it like I see it.

Were it not for BH's products/prices/service and of course, Pete's inspiring demo flying skills and an equally good videographer (sure wish all companies hired demo pilots like Pete...it is painful to watch other companies' unconvincing videos).

I hope Pete and his people will not give up their efforts to improve their overall performance. It can be discouraging to read negative feedback all the time, and that is why I want to balance things out by sharing my great experience with BH.

Well lets put it this way, this thing is so nice that now I have an F-18 on order, UPS tracking number says delivery on Monday the 25th and I only ordered it yesterday. I really love aircraft from WWII, but my wife said that maybe I should try a jet like one of my employees bought. But I hate the A-10 Warthog, not for what it does, just the overall looks and performance.
By the way, I bought this B-17 due to a number of reasons: size, price, it's electric so can fly around my property without bothering the horses and the fact that it has bomb bay doors on it so I can load it with carrots and drop them on the horses.....

Nice! You can buy the Mini P51 for fighter escort.

For variety, the Stuka will be great for carrot dive bombing.

I also have the 2000mm WS B-17 from Banana Hobby and I can't believe what I got for $200. It flies like a dream. I had about 23 flights and about 58 landings and I didn't have to replace anything (knock on wood). I had to epoxy the tail wheel back on but other than that everything is stock on my plane. I live close by Banana Hobby so I willcall all my orders. When I get there they open the box in front of me and they let me go through all the parts making sure everything is there. I bought about 5 planes so far from BH and I am one of those lucky ones who hasn't had any problem what so ever. I am thinking about buying their 79" B-25 and 79" p-40 on my next bonus check. I usually place my order online then they give me a code to come and pick up the plane next day. I can't be happier.

6 planes myself and am still satisfied. On my last two orders, I looked at the order numbers. They were 1,100 orders apart. In five days. That's a lot of models and if you factor in the orders with multiple models and BH is easily selling 50,000 units per year.
