NEW... Waterproofing by Diesel. Esc, rx and servo water-test

Another video on waterproofing. This time a servo, rx and esc all operating while submerged. I used a air rx, esc and micro servo for the test. This will be used in a edf airboat project I would like to start. I'll put together the how-to video soon.

Waterproofing Test: Submerged esc, rx and servo (6 min 14 sec)

Diesel, is that so when you flip the edf airboat you can still power on in?

BTW, I'm a follower of your spray electrical tape waterproofing technique and have proofed 9 GT2 (GT3B) receivers so far. And no failures to date! Thx, Sdg.

Diesel do you cover the capacitors also? I have a aquarstar 90a esc that I water and covered them also in the liquid tape.

No I don't fully cover the caps. I make sure the board is covered, if the caps get a litle overspray that's fine but I don't intentially cover the caps. Let them breathe.

I noticed your Castle motor with the fan..........i have thought of doing that as i feel getting the hot air out of the can is much better than running cool water around it. Is it set up to push air or pull it......?.....i'm thinking its pulling air thru

Great work on the waterproofing!

Great work on the waterproofing!

I drilled extra holes in the front plate (air intake) and the drilled holes on the end bell, it was setup to pull air through. I use a standard waterjacket now, as the 1717 mount I currently have/use does not allow for the fan on the end because of the rear support bracket.

Thanks!
