mCPX Rotor Issue...
I got the mCPX yesterday and I crashed it a few times. Normal stuff, no parts flying everywhere. Well, now when I spool up the rotors, they make a luffing noise after a certain RPM. It's similar to when a turbine plane feathers the props while doing the preflight test. I've added a video so you can see what I'm talking about. How can I fix this?

Your main gear has slipped down on the shaft. It's a feature to protect parts from stripping out in just about any crash. There should be no up and down play at all if you pull up on the head, and I bet you have a few mm of play in yours, which causes that sound and lack of enough pitch to fly.
Snap the main gear back up on the shaft until you hear it "click" and then you will be back in business. |
