REX-flyer maidened today!

I maidened my REX-flyer today, but only freeflight to test the airframe/motor.

I ran it on 2x235mA 5g LiPos and it actually flew level with no up-elevator at all.

AUW was 36g using a EDP-10a kit for motor.

Plane before mounting motor:

Half done mounting motor:

Mounting motor done:

Flying speed was about a very slow jog. Power drain with motor is approx 25-30mA so flight times on 235mAh LiPos could be very long indeed.

Now to start working on the servo routines for REX so that I can actually control the thing...

Almost 10 hours! Sounds too good to be true. Sure you have the measurement right?? 250-300mA would sound more reasonable.

even if i can get 15 min duration + the diy RX + low cost ----would be great

kreature could u plz plzzzz get a working prototye of the REX at the earliest, even if its not that narrow band its okay for me as i dont think there would be more than me flying at the same time...iam sure many are eagerly and patiently waiting for the REX to Roar and rule the micro world....

hope to hear abt the rex soon
Good luck

I was missing a digit in the drain. It's more like 230-250mA.
Still over 30 mins.

I am not focusing on the narrowing now. I too want a working version when indoor season starts.
