Been working on so many models its difficult to make progress! I painted the cabin, primed the hull, sealed the deck with epoxy and painted the the bilge/ cap of the boat. The tape I used to mask the deck want that great and paint got under it, luckily I already sealed the wood. I hoped it wouldnt happen but I have an easy fix for it! The hull has a few waves but I will try to sand them out soon and then paint!

Sorry its been a while, been working nonstop! Here are a few pics! Hope you like it! The black line is the edge I need to sand straight. the aft seat needs another coat of epoxy to make it smooth and shiny!

Thanks! I want to try to get the cabin top curved, epoxied, and painted next, this will be the most difficult part of the build I believe.

I think I'm going to use a speed 400 with a gear reduction, not sure if it will be too fast though.

Well in an effort to make it easier for those who want to convert their midwest fantail launches to tour master kits I have copied the instruction booklet. I also received a pm from someone requesting I copy them since their kit didn't include them. I needed the manual for the jim wilder a few weeks ago and a fellow rcgroups member pulled through for me coping the entire manual..... well over 100 pages and he emailed them to me. Just a way to try to give back to repay my debt owed to the rc community. ENJOY!

Looks good Kyle. One of these days my Rangley will work it's way to the top of the list and I will start it. I plan to use a geared 400 also. Tour boats were for haulin' not speed.

yup, I completely agree with you, I reread my post and it was misleading. What I meant to say is that I think the boat will be too fast even with the geared down motor.

Know what you mean Kyle, my nephew way over powered his Dumas Rangeley, It was funny to see it get up on plane specialy with the shape of the stern the bow was WAY up in the air. Your boat is looking very nice.
My Dumas Rangeley has a 550 in it and I run it at about 1/2 throttle to be about scale cruise. It turns a 2'' 4 bladed wheel (dumas plastic)not the one that comes with the kit, the one that came with it is to small since the keel is wide and blankets the stock wheel.
