Durafly 1100mm A-1 Skyraider

I haven't seen a thread on this bad boy so here we go!

HobbyKing Skunkwerks Series - Durafly 1100mm T28 & Skyraider (9 min 55 sec)

Not listed on HK yet, but like the rest of the range it looks the goods!

Looks like a T-28, not a Skyraider. I can't stream videos so maybe things change in it.

Heaven's sake, fellas! Yes, there is a Skyraider in the video and it's quite a looker with nice flying characteristics too.

Durafly is really putting to work their four blade prop and power system for this size range. Wouldn't be surprised to see a Grumman F8F Bearcat turn up in this series.

They both look great. Im curious to see how much they will be. Was planning on the 1600mm A-1 but this transports easier.

The planes look amazing like the rest of the Durafly range. I really enjoy these videos but this one really stands out from the previous ones. Nice smooth flying and great comments by Scott.

Nicely done!

You might be interested knowing about this one if you don't already: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1303447

A composite build but will be super accurate in outline.

I was on the Lancaster thread mentioning how HobbyKing has been trying to make new planes that are not often offered and used my example of begging PZ, et al to make a Skyraider for years but they don't then all of the sudden Starmax 1600mm, FMS 800mm, and JPower 550mm all released within a year.

Well. Scott mentioned there's another coming soon...so this is it I like. 1600mm is too big for my taste/storage/transport. I'm definitely getting the 550mm as its very versatile for quick walk to local park and fly, between 800 and 1100mm I'll go for the slightly bigger. My only complaint is tail gear doesn't retract!!! Other complaint is...Southeast Asia camo...please.

All the other new Durafly models are < $140 so I expect this one will be the same. And yeah, I know the difference between a T-28 and an A-1

That will simply buff out

I will have this one in my hangar for sure! I am loving these Durafly 1100mm offerings. This one makes the 1600mm offering look like a cartoon.I am glad I held out for this one!The T-28 isn't real high on my must have list, but it is so nice I am sure I will eventually get one.

The Sky Raider looks really cool...and it will be a fantastic canvas for an authentic paint job...I am thinking of an overall "Glossy Dark Sea Blue" version from the mid 50ties. The current scheme is a 21st century air show circus one that is only vaguely oriented on a real VA-176 bird

cheers
Uwe
