Pegasus/Avian

With the weather still bad for flying I needed another prodject and It was between the Pegasus/Avian or Groen Brothers Hawk4 trying to find good side views of these models was difficult all the good photos were from an angle but I found on flickr a photo of the Pegasus by Norman Graf http://www.flickr.com/photos/normang...8224/lightbox/ that fitted my building from photos technique and he kindly gave permission to use it for my build so I went with trying to build the Pegasus.
If It flys great,if not it will make a nice hanger model.

Yes I have seen this site
I prefer line drawings or a good side view to work from
The Hawk is on my list for the future so if you find any line drawings or a good side view photo let me know
I have made a start on the Pegasus and will post photos soon

If the weather improves I have a backlog of models to fly
These builds are keeping me from going stir crazy
This one might not be flyable because of the weight I am using it as a test build and will more than likely have to build a second but use lighter materials, wood from DIY stores and salvaged ply from old furniture is a little on the heavy side

Joe! You are amazing! Who has time to build "test models"? You build models faster than I can read the plans! Braw!

Gentleman, looks as if some one has got the drop on Joe. Now this is not my work(unfortunately).I can only wish. This is the work of Dave Muir who does not like to blow his own whistle. I have to tell you Dave that if I was making this model then I would be pretty happy to show off my good work.

Chris thanks for posting the photos of Dave's model very nice
Try and talk him into sharing his build with the rest of us I would love to see more details
I think his is the Avian mark2 the one I am modeling is the Pegasus mark3 with the different shaped body and three seats
I would like to compare finished weights between the two models
If Dave is not willing can you keep us up to date with his progress?
Joe
Edit
Dave may already have seen this old film

Got the ply cut out and started to glue bits together this is when I find flaws in my guesstimated parts a little bit of cutting and sanding should get the bits to fit
