Pilatus Porter crashed, any idea?

Hi to all,

This stupid newbie has crashed his selfmade Pilatus Porter.
The holy winds blowed it down to mother earth as a stone.
I need to solve my FMS interface problems quickly to save my planes.

New trainer wanted. Which one can I build??

I've the next equipment:

- Graupner 600, 8,4 Volt motor direct drive
- 8x5 prop (survived from the crash!!!)
- Jeti Jes 350 ESC
- Jeti REX 4 receiver (antenna lost but I'll solder a new one)
- 7 x SANYO RC2400 battery back
- Servos: different models, brands and sizes

hang in!

One word....T-52.
Get it at JK Aerotech...kit is I think about $39.
Your 600 is powerful enough. I've crashed mine countless times
and it still flies. Its made out of foam and coroplast. Wing span
is 52 inches and the cord is around 7 1/2 inches. Very easy to pilot due to the dihedral in the wing. I'm using a Wattage 480 motor on mine with a Wattage esc. 8 cell 1600 mah nimh battery.
Weight is around 25.2 oz. I use rudder/elevator setup.

Dave (Luckyarmpit),

Thanks for advise.

I took a look on JK Aerotech's website and it seems my equipment is too heavy for the T-52.

I prefer to build by myself. I'm a terrible pilot but I've been designing and building for other people. Untill now all my birds have been flying succesfully (unless those piloted by me ).

Now it's time to have more fun and I was wondering which can be the right chose for me.

T-52 seems to be OK but I'll build something bigger and cheap so I'll scale it to fit my equipment.

I suppose it uses a Clark-Y airfoil. Isn't it?

Thanks again and have nice flights.

You could always try the Big "T" A T-52 on steriods for a speed 600

I can always build a Porter for you but I'm quite far away from your country!!

Now I'm building an all blue foam Porter to install a high resolution CCTV camera & transmitter.

I'll power it with a SPEED 600 on 7 SANYO 2400 cells and Jeti JES 350 ESC.
The whole wing is reinforced with a 5mm carbon fiber rod which has been inserted on it.
The fus is quite "square looking" as the original so the construction is fast & easy.
Total weight close to 1,2 Kgms.
