Biting ankles since '53
Anyway a Willow will feature in my life while I debate about and then save for the next big purchase.

Ahhh, back from a weekend full of racing (yesterday) and TD (today). SCSR event at a new (for me) venue in San Diego county. A very nice inland slope, and generally average conditions (from what I heard). Yay, I won the race, using Willow for the entire event. I think we got in more than 10 rounds, and it was very enjoyable. I let most everybody fly my Willow afterwards, and it was all smiles...I'm stoked!

This opens the door for a pilot looking too get into a nice sized composite plane for racing or sport flying. Model "feels"tough, always a plus! (no, I didn't squeez the wings, that's no test of models toughness)

Hi Guys

Because my nearby hobby shop ran out of stock with Sanwa I decided to try the new (for me) Savox servos. Heard of good reputation so I said let's give them a try.

4 x SH - 0255MG for flaps and V - tail.
2 x SH - 0256 for ailerons.

The model will hopefully arrive at the end of this week so more pics later.

why not use the 256's for ailerons and vtails ?
You can actually get away with around 1.1kgs of tourque on the tails due to a smaller surface area.

I was thinking 255 on the flaps and elevator because they are MG.

My friend shot this today at Pt. Fermin. I was bit rusty on the sticks, but the plane was flying great. Average conditions for Fermin. Hope this works....

I was flying the course a few meters long, and not pulling real hard... Like I said, I felt a bit rusty on the sticks... Thanks Tim for the video.
