The other thing is it gives you something to sit it on at the field when your not flying it. All this talk has got me thinking about ordering gear for my other planes too now. Pantless of course

Marginally slower roll rate.

Levictus, awesome vid, if I was those guys I'd stand farther away though! The fastest I've seen is about 200, and man that is fast!
My mate has one of these monsters, as yet not DSed. Check out Joe manors maiden, it went 380. It should get 500 with the right wind/pilot. Crazy machines. This is the guy who designed it, joe manor, a DS god.

Wow, that's what I call a stress test for the equipment, and pilot.

I feel for ya ombudsman. It's the same here down south of you. Tomorrow looks good but I got stuff to do for work...grrr.

That's fast for sure. I remember awhile back somebody was going to try for mach 1 with a turbine jet. Going have to see if they did or not.

How much Welders glue should I order for a new build? 1 or 2 of the 1 oz tubes? How much is needed just on the build? Would there be enough left over after the initial build to make any repairs down the line? Or if preparing for potential repairs should I just get a second bottle?

Thanks

One should be enough for the build and some repairs.

Yes, that's right. The way I have been buying it is in the two-tube package anyway. Can't run out of Welder!

Leaving the house pantless would be a real problem!

Welders and foam tac are the glues I've been using. Keep one tube in my flight box for the dumb thumb moments.

Took the CY out. Man it was cold. -2. My batteries were gutless. So, i spent the time practising some knife edge. Nearly took my head off with the prop on one pass when must of put elevator in instead of rudder. Oops..

Finished mine yesterday (2-11-2013). I plan on flying it this weekend if the weather holds up. I have it balanced for 2s; now I'm having second thoughts, because the all-up weight is 7.3 ounces on mine, with landing gear. Did not expect it to be that heavy.

Jimbo you're a brave man getting out in that kinda cold. I'd be enjoying a nice warm soup if it got that cold here. It's good you got some practice in, though aiming towards your head isn't a good idea.

The weight adds up quick with these beasties after a few repairs mine is portly but still flies great. Good luck with the yak this weekend, accel8or.
