Good for you! Guys!

Good thing I got quite a few flights yesterday, just took the Yak out back even with a 3s pack, the wind was playing with me. Best anyways, I'm going switch the sunrise esc for the TH 12amp one.

I'd be interested to hear how you think they compare. It looks very much like a rebadged ZTW esc.

I'm pretty sure it is too. The Yak is the last of the TH planes to have the 12amp the two Pitts and Slick already had them. I've been lazy to switch it out, if it ain't broke why fix it mentality. After flying the mini for the past month I figured I best speed up the big Yak.

Comparison wise the 12 is smoother, faster and more powerful than the old sunrise ones. At least compared to the ones I have.

Going need to replenish my battery stash. The last batch of gens have been a dissapointment. Going try the glaciers and pro packs. Heard good thing about the glaciers and I've been running the pros in the mini with success.

Cool, got a guy interested in one of my old yaks so I'll use that to fund the batteries.

I would have to say yes lol.

Flock

Anyone need the (2) 5g and (1) 9g servos that come from the electronics package? I never used mine. $17 shipped.

Well I just flew the Yak in a gym for an hour. First time I've flown indoors. Had a blast! This plane is just insane! Starting to really get that hovering thing figured out. Now for torque rolls... Think that will take a while

Way too cold to fly this morning and too windy this afternoon so I spent some time working on the CY. Unfortunately I put Welders on the hinges like the build video said before I read on RCG that it was a bad idea. The ailerons and elevator were way too stiff to get full throw out of them. While it flew just fine I've been wanting to fix it. I carefully used a razor blade to scrape the crust of Welders off the hinges. It took quite a bit of time to do but now I've got way more travel and the servos aren't having to work nearly as hard. Can't wait to fly it and see how much better it is.

Seems like it would be the opposite, but the better I get as a 3D pilot, the more I want to fly my Crack Yak. The better I get the more this planes becomes insane. My bigger planes aren't getting as much airtime lately.

And it's strange, I fly with heli guys (that in itself is strange) and have several really cool larger planes but those guys all love this little 8 ounce plane.

The foamies can't be beat for the fun factor. Everyone that has had a chance to fly one of mine has been thinking about getting into them. Especially after they see me crash pick the plane up and throw it back in the air.
