Sounded like HH is having a flying get together tomorrow in Manassas. Kwang said he might bring his jet.

Double, double maiden today at a 100% success rate. Wonderful day, wonderful company. Well enjoyed. At one point I looked out to see about 12 incredible aircraft sprawled out across the flight line - it was awesome.

FARCC is a primo field, my favorite by a country mile.

Great job. I'll quit hounding you about the 50cc edge. I think you're in love.

Great day guys.

Today I flew a nitro powered plane for the first time and had a dead stick on the first take off.

Later a guy at the field asked to maiden his nitro powered Yak 54 and I did but again landed with a deadstick. The good thing was that both times landed safely with no problem.

Gary that trainer of yours is a fun plane.

I'll find another cheap engine for it and have it up. What is everyone doing next week? I'll be heading to Hagerstown so I'll miss the fun with you guys.

Are all of the trainers like that nitro or is there such thing as a gas powered trainer?

I had a very good day today, two maidens for me and both an absolute blast. Tomorrow's weather forecast is better than today. Who is flying and where? FARCC bound again?

I guess you could make a trainer gas.. don't use mine as an example. the plane is about 4 years old. engine is rusted and so on. If you look at it close you will see I don't take much care of it.

Now Dave's 60 size trainer flew like a champ. Not sure which one he has..

Mine is just a beater. Something to fly around and if it crashes it crashes.

They are fun and you always have to tinker with the cheaper engines. Don Szuzr flies a YS nitro pattern plane at the F3A Pattern Nationals for year. A few other guys fly the high end YS as well. Looks like once you lock them in they're good to go.

It is just part of the hobby. It is good to at least try each part of it and see what you like. I have one nitro and just bring it out when I want to just tinker and fly. I've tried just about all of them. Electric just doesn't make the old pipe hard. Nitro just about gets it there and Gas well you know. It's like Viagra. LOL
