APC220 Telemetry Radios

Arrived Friday

I hooked them directly to my ArduIMU and USB on my laptop
and by using HK's ArduIMUTest.exe app i have life

I used the AP to supply the IMU and Radio the 5v needed only

Video of the drift thats happening all the time
the IMU reacts to movement ok though

GOPR0335 (0 min 11 sec)

Tried the imu and gps that I had to rebuild using the radios and got coordinates now

GOPR0336 (0 min 12 sec)

so i think with that said, i need to figure out from here my AP code, So it works using the imu for the em406 gps in binary mode and with the airspeed sensor enabled and using stabilize as my only two switch settings after manual

new video of it all working ...except the airspeed sensor shield..still to test

APC220 Data Working With Ardupilot (Legacy) ArduIMU V2 (Flat) (0 min 0 sec)

I finally got the code to compile myself
I changed the settings for baudrate to 57600 in defines.h (#define ARDU_IMU 57600) for the em406 gps
In AP_Config.h I set gps to type 3 (#define GPS_PROTOCOL 3)
-1 for shield type (#define SHIELD_VERSION -1)
and 0 for no air sensor (#define AIRSPEED_SENSOR 0)
changed the 3rd switch setting from #define POSITION_3 FLY_BY_WIRE_A to stabilize,
the same as the 2nd setting (#define POSITION_2 STABILIZE) now its (#define POSITION_3 STABILIZE)
as i only have on/off on the gear channel.. for now parts coming soon to fix that

Another Video Shot With The Kodak Camera Instead

APC220 Telemetry With Ardupilot (legacy) (1 min 7 sec)

Added APC220 Tutorial here:

New Spare Parts

Some Packages From Some Tades Arrived Today

Rasberry pi
GY401 Gyro
2 - EMAX ES08 MD Servos
1 - ALRC DS54MG Servo
KK Multicopter Controller v5.5
Multiplex MULTIcont BL-27/II ESC
Sparkfun 200w Heatgun (not shown)

Additional items for arduino based projects arrived too
(List Updated In Arduino Project Post)

Also some spares listed on first page of my blog

Lemmon RX Specs

- TX port (UART, 9600bps, 8N1)
Condition 1) UART output specification when no signal received (device reset and continuously monitor for valid signal every 0.5 sec):
- <0x13><'R'><'E'><'S'><'E'><'T'><0x13>
- <0x13> is used as header for beginning and ending identifier
Condition 2) UART output specification when signal is received ( updated ~40ms with 8 bytes of information):
- <0x13><Aileron><AUX><Gear> Elevator><Throttle><Rudder><0x13>
- DEC(66) ~ DEC(134) refer to the approximate value for each of the full range control output for the 6 channels.
- <0x13> is used as header for beginning and ending identifier
For example: if all channels are centered except throttle shutdown and AUX is maximized, the UART should output the following.
<0x13><DEC(100)> <DEC(134)> <DEC(100)> <DEC(100)> <DEC(66)> <DEC(100)><0x13>

- PPM port
Condition 1) PPM pulled to ground (logic level low).

Condition 2) If signal is valid, 6 high pulses are used to represent Aileron, AUX, Gear, Elevator, Throttle and Rudder while each signal is separated by ~60us low pulse. ~40ms low pulse followed and continues the updates from receiver.

- Vreg port
On board Vreg output is available as reference voltage for logical high signal. Do not exceed drawing over 10mA of current.

- NA port
Do not connect anything to this pin. NA pin is a direct connection to reset the microprocessor. The microprocessor has already pre-programmed a watchdog timer which will ensure the reliability of the unit's long term operation by auto reset in case of any system failure / temporary power failure and resume operation in 0.5 sec.

- GND port
System ground.

swapping out the gear switch with a 3 position rotary dial switch
and swapping out my trainer switch with the old gear switch to allow always on for trainer for use of the flightstick using the arduiino interface

product links if needed, just pm me i can send you them

heres a 3 way on/on/on you could substitute the rotary with

My New (used) Hoverthings HT-FPV Quad

Arrived the other day been tinkering so far
messing with the software to get it running
as java dont work on this lappy my other one did though

heres what it looks like after i changed the front lights to white, added gopro (for picture)
mock up of transmitter for FPV camera with Inverted V ant

thinking of using my apc220 telemetry modules and looking into gps working with the naze32 flightcontroller

seems to be working right ,need to adjust pids for stable flight now

- Hoverthings HT-FPV frame (black - see specs on frame below)
- Naze32 - Afroflight (latest) Update ----> Swap to KK2.0
- Turnigy 1600Mah 3cell (for testing,setup)
- Turnigy 30A Plush
- EMP N3536 910KV
- 10X4.5 Props (testing others 9x4.5)
- LED lights (red, green, white)
- Gopro Hero
- spektrum AR6100E

Im still considering adding one or more of the following:
- APC220 Telemetry
- EM406A GPS
- 1.2ghz 1500mw VTX
- 1.2ghz Inverted V Ant
- 600 TVL Board Camera

Spin Up Test
HT FPV Spin Up test With L.E.D.s (0 min 16 sec)

thread im following here also

Added multiwii v2.1 gui settings/readings screenshots

Weight: 350g
Size: 435mm width x 306mm length x 65mm height (Width x Length is motor shaft to motor shaft)
Overall size: 20" (510mm) width x 14" (360mm) length x 2.9" (75mm) height (maximum size assembled with motors for storage, props removed)
Material: G10 Fiberglass
Hardware: Aluminum and Stainless Steel, 4-40 thread (not metric).
Recommended Prop Size: 8x4.7, 9x4.7
Maximum Prop Size: 10x4.5
Recommended Motor Size: 28mm 950-1200Kv for 3S (12V) or 28mm 720-750KV for 4S (16V), motor plates will accept most 38mm motors. Hole spacing from 15mm - 19mm. NTM Prop Drive Series 28-26A 1200kv is a good choice for 3S
Recommended Battery: 3S/4S 2200mah - 2800mah 20C - 25C
Recommended Flight Controller: Naza, OpenPilot, Quadrino. We recommend auto level and altitude hold for ease of flying FPV.
Recommended Camera: GoPro Hero (Frame is designed and balanced for GoPro but other cameras can be made to work).

UPDATE- For archive reasons and the google links no longer work for the windows client added the AIO distros in zip
