During the event the North / south runway will be the only Full scale runway available. It is 1500' with great approaches.
If wind is not too much an issue it is best to land to the North and takeoff to the south.

Winds usually come out of the West tho. If it's really blowing circle the runway and we will stand down for planes to come in from the East. (1100' runway)

More info;

For runway loving planes, Tara Field is 4.8 miles away.
Transportation can be made to get you here;

Hey Mark, do you ever get any 172s landing there at the patch. I have done short field and I have done soft field but I haven't done short soft field. IM a new pilot so I want to be safe.

We've had a couple of 172's come in here. Both did great.
I'm sure the pucker factor is there tho. Your welcome to do a couple of fly-bys /approaches.... if its out of your comfort zone just zoom up to Tara field and we'll send a van.

I would make sure I had just enought fuel to depart from there to jump over to terra field to fuel up. I would think a light 172 could get out of there reasonably.

As for me there's no way I can make it in. Even Tara Field will be tight. I'll see about getting with a friend of mine and driving down together.

Hey Guys... Count me in!

I'm looking forward to attending again this year!! Woo-Hoo!

Mark, Greg, John and everyone else ... Thanks for organizing this and for your great hospitality!

Greg: Thanks for the PM to let me know the thread is open & the date is set!

I'll plan to tent camp again ... it was awesome camping under the pecan trees last year...

We had a great group of friendly guys last year, and I'm sure we'll have even more great folks to fly FPV with this year...

We can advertise the PecanPatch FPV Fly-In at SEFF, to help get the word out, if you'd like...

See ya'll there!

Kevin
