With the 250 pack, consistent upwind/downwind averages have been 43~44 mph for us.

Interesting

I doubt mine is that quick.

I'd say 30-35 for mine

Then my #2 is in the ball park as I'm sure the 48.3mph speed was a quartering downwind pass, with a wind speed of 4-8 mph that day..

The 250 and 300 packs make it a nice flier,, much better then with the lighter packs.. And the old CG location instructions..

When you said this model already has a reduced exhaust; how do you figure?

Mine is same diameter from fan back; the intact may be larger than exhaust!

You are probably experiencing depth perspective - where things get smaller as they get further away - so looking down a tapering tube will give the appearance the tube is straight all the way in. Here is an image showing the reduced tailpipe.

hey guys. since this plane is out and people have it in their possession, would you guys say that if i can comfortably fly a micro T-28, this would make a great introduction to EDF's? i have always wanted to get my hands on an EDF plane and now its possible with these micros!

I think you would have no problems what-so-ever flying this airplane. Just remember you do not need to fly it wide open throttle all the time. It wouldn't be as durable as an EPO jet, but it is similar to your T-28 in construction anyways.

cool thanks! One question about the battery that comes with the F-86 Sabre though; are the connectors on it micro deans?

Yes, the polarized type. One pin, one hole, and the Red colored ones.

You will need more room to fly as it's fast, Please don't try to slow it down to much till you are used to how it flies, make sure you have the CG correct, use lots of EXPO on the ailerons for your first flight if you can. Remember there is no prop blast to save your ass so keep the air speed up. It's a fun plane to fly but you need to keep it flying like a jet.. Even when balanced right it will do the Sabre dance, and the flip flop so be ready for it..

Okay; no I know that it's reduced or tapered BUT I thought you meant it was reduced even further.

The exit diameter is ~24mm, which translates into 85% of the FSA of the HyperFlow 30mm fan.
