Mine have been glued back on I think 8 times now. All breaks have been from crashes or running into lamp posts.. Very easy plane to fix, just hold it in place drip some thin foam safe CA into the crack and hold till hard, flip it over and put some on the other side and fly.. Haven't had any new breaks on the repaired area.. Hint,, make sure you find and pickup every little piece you can..

UHU POR, beacon foam tac or ultimate RC glue is the way to go

Foam safe CA with kicker makes foam more brittle!

But if this doesn't cause a problem and is faster and easier to do why not use it? I fix all my foam planes this way,, I find that that the UHU POR, foam tac, epoxy etc are a pain to use and don't do me any better than the fast easy thin CA way.. But I don't spray the whole thing down with kicker either just one drop does the job fine..

And like I have said I have never had one break at the glue joint again or even right next to it..

Very nice bruff. Was about to ask if they are waterslide decals but it looks like the bowl in the one pic has water in it.

Thanks for sharing...including the decals.

I find that foam safe CA makes the foam more brittle; UHU and equivalent might take longer to dry but is a flexible joint.

Bruff,

I like that a lot! Really sharp I must say. Better post it in the repaint thread too!

Indoor flying was the night before last here and I went down there hoping for fun but unfortunately there were just too many idiots crashing their heli's, quads and shock flyers all over the place. It looked like I would be flying through a moving mine field - no thanks!

I stayed for the whole session hoping that the way they were all breaking their planes it would quieten down but they came prepared with several backup shockies to replace the mashed ones. The flying area is only a single court but plenty of lee way with spectator seating either side to over fly the space but even the seating areas got bombed so nowhere was safe.

Our Red counterpart made no appearance either... I was hoping to goose it should it take flight. One thing about being the organiser and sponsor of the event is you get to ground all flights while you maiden your HH models as was the case a few times on the night...

The area looked enormous based on the tight circles I practised out on the field and I have full confidence indoors in a small space is very doable. There is an indoor event every Thursday morning at another venue here so I might have to sneak off and try there. The guys there are a nice bunch - mostly retirees, and have given me the air space for maidens on previous occasions.
