This will let you use one of your existing 2S JST-male batteries with the GP Micro F-86.

JST-Female to minideans, with the positive line exposed. (I think this is backwards too, personally)

Available here:

http://www.rc-connectors.com/index.p...roducts_id=359

I will also have one soon for all your Parkzone/Horizon 2S batteries (Beast, Sbach, Mig-15, Stryker 180, etc)

Thanks,

Glenn

Better off cuting the jst connector off and putting a micro deans... we are trying to stay away from added weight, with our cg issues..

Obviously, for those that are willing and able to solder, that's best.

But I get lots of customers that are not comfortable with that.

this jet could use a little wight savings and adding two jst connectors is not going to help, specially if it throws back the CG
really not sure what packs come with jst connectors that would even fit my F-86
think I need to get into the connector making business

cuz I need to add about 2.5g of weight to the front of this plane just to get to the 70mm cg
so what is and where is the best place to add the weight??
I was thinkin on the bottom of the nose of the plane... adding weight low I thought that would be the best??
anyone with good ideas here?

If you look in the back of the manual, there are larger 250mah 20c lipos listed as optional accessories, i am waiting on these to come instock instead.

Takes longer to remove the plastic cap and hot glue then to solder on the new wires..

I was looking at the Hyperion 250's and it's going to be a lot harder to take the plastic caps off them as they use a lot more glue..
I made one pack of Hyperion 250. My conclusion was: it's not worth the trouble. Not because the plastic cap is harder to remove, but simply because the 240mah bare cells give pretty much the same result particularly because you're gaining a bit of weight with the 250mah for only 10mah more... When I was flying it, I found out that I didn't even bother changing my timer or flying an extra few seconds, so why bother with all the trouble. Save those batteries for the mCPx! Still not so sure about the 300mah Nanotech (price wise and trouble wise), but at least, with an extra 50mah, you can get longer flying time.

In my case I checked the CG prior to the first flight and it was tail heavy according to the recommended location. A dime taped to the stock lipo resolved the cg position and the test flight was a no brainer unlike the experiences that some here have reported.

Good to know..
I'm going to make a connector to use my MCPx Lipos with this little bugger.. that way I can use all 4 different brands of lipos for my F-86
and I'v found a way to utilize the weight of the lipos to move them more forward

we need extra weight up front but that long wire and big over priced connector has the weight more back than forward like we need.. so it kinda hurts ya a little
But good luck though.. if you lived near by I'de make something up for ya that would be kick ass

Its good to know that a professional like yourself thinks that the "industry standard" is backwards.
