Great Planes .60 J-3 Clipped with YS.120 4 stroke BNF SPEKTRUM/LPU~

Airplane is covered in coverite fabric and built right. It is clipped to 83". Scale detailed pilot, wheels and is ready to bind to any DSM2/X radio by Spektrum. It has a AR500 rx and 2000maH 6.0V Hydamax battery. Plane is new and never flown, balances perfect with the YS 1.20 4 cycle engine in it.

The engine has been started 3 times and still needs break in. The muffler is a smoker pitts by Slimline so by adding a pump and smoke oil tank it can blow smoke in flight!

I still have the plans, manuals, and original box. I also have a unbuilt set of floats in another sale ad for sale.

Not for sure how much prior flying time you have but Cub's in general are great handling airplanes. This one will be a bit more of a handful because it has been built clipped wing and is slightly heavier due to using the scale like fabric covering not to mention the big block under the cowl. I do have a Great Planes .60 Float kit for it that I would toss in FREE if YOU decided to take the 6 hour drive south. I was going to build them but not sure if I want to fly this one off of water.

About 12 years ago I spent vacation in your town and me and a ex-girlfriend had the pleasure of taking a float-plane ride from the island out to the big lake for a few touch and goes and then a water landing and back to the island. Had a blast up there and cannot wait to take my kids up there sometime in the next couple of years. Just FYI check Craigslist up around there. There was a gent up near "the International Bridge" that had a large lot of nice stuff. May be closer and a better deal and less than an hour away!

Thanks for the compliments on my work! ~Flyin'J~

Well thanks for the info Flyin'J i do like your plane and the floats would be great, but if you think i would pile drive it into the lake that would be no good! lol i only started flyin 3yrs ago on a 3ch super cub then modified it for 4ch and brushless with floats and loved it, now i just want something bigger and with fuel to fly off the water, so the j-3 would be good but i dont want clipped wings and fabric covered?

Try the hangar9 .40 size 80" Cub with their float kit and use a OS 70 surpass or Saito 65 four cycle. I had one and it was very light, enough prop and power for lake flying and large enough to see well. Very easy ARF to assemble. A OS 55AX will also fly it off water but as it is less expensive you will lose the scale like sound going with a two stroke!

By the way did you see the Super-Cub IFR with pontoons in my blog? I have been out the last couple days flying it from the snow. I maidened it last monday at night I think it may be the same cub you have been flying.... Thanks for the interest and keep in touch~

Horizon sells it PNP and the floats are simple to install. Google it and check it out! I am on my phone out of town or I would provide you a link.
