I could do either although changing strut height would be easier than re-arranging packs since I more or less cut pockets in the foam to hold them in.

I think it's a blast to drive the way it is though. Once it gets fully planed it's running just about like my sprint cat. The flighty part is mostly me grabbing way too much throttle (all at once) coming out of the corner. That 460/3 shows the real torque of the 2028. I bet it could torque roll one of our monos the way it hooks up.
Going into the corners and occasional bobble on the straights was from the crosswind conditions we were having today. It was blowing out of the north and our track runs east-west. It was a lot windier and choppier than it looks. (especially at that kind of speed).

Edit: I sometimes wonder if I have ocd or something. Just can't have a page sitting with text all by it's lonesome. Downloaded yesterday's data log and it's still showing less than 200 amps for peak draw. Thought for sure the way I was nailing out of the front corner it would spike higher than that. Did a little remake on the run too with some slow motion "instant replays".

A little disappointing for top speed on water this smooth (only 66 and change)but this thing is still a blast to drive. Got a couple of slow motion replays of the "O-Sh moments" in the video.
Going to prop it down to a 457/3 before running again in this heat. I don't like seeing 140* on the motor even if it a car motor designed to run at extreme temps.

That thing is insane Bill.........................sounds like 10s?????? The motor is really screaming, you really dont need to be concerned with 140*, my personal red zone is 135* on all motors and Im pretty conservative.........except the 2028 which i get to 145* quite often, seriously dont let it bug you.

Sorry scorp. It was so hot yesterday that it really whipped me bad. I wound up crashing pretty early after getting finished with the vids.
It was only 9s. I'll pull the data logs this evening.

A poll

I'm getting ready to replace that ugly plasma ball on the front deck of this one. Pretty much have it narrowed down to these 2 images but having trouble choosing between the two.

Opinions?

So far I'm still leaning toward the Bengal lunging. I think it kinda fits the personality of the boat with the way it likes to get up on it's hind quarters under hard acceleration.

I just wish it had the head of the one Chris posted and it would be perfect.

Looks good, B - it also compliments the plasma side panels.
