Irvine 40RLS

This is the engine that Derek Pickard used for an article on piped engines for stunt in the June 1996 Aeromodeller magazine. He had it up for sale at the 95/96 Nationals at Ballarat and I couldn't resist it (complete with Bolly CF prop and Eather tuned pipe). AFAIK it's the only one in Australia.

These were designed purely for CL stunt and are quite different to the more common RC rear exhaust 40. Compared to the OS 40VF, the timings are a little milder but has more power and is just as easy to set up with a pipe. It's only vice is that if even the slightest bit over primed it'll try to take your finger off (I'd swear it would run with diesel fuel). If it wasn't for my Dooling 29 it'd be my favourite engine .

Yep, it's a Hende Dooling .038 which physically is 1/2 size but, because piston area goes by the square, it's capacity is .038 cub inch. As far as is possible with such a small engine it follows the .29 very closely. No rings of course so cast iron piston and only 2 port windows in the piston instead of 3. It's brand new and I'll never run it . Hende also made a diesel version.

Dont know how many of these

Dont know how many of these are out there , never got much of a following , I guess 2.5cc engines built on 3.5cc cases just never tickled anyone's fancy .

Cipolla 2.5cc Combat , this one is NIB and my last Cipolla , Cipolla really put together a nice engine , really well made , but for a combat motor , its a bit of a brick , now , If one tried it in Goodyear ? Hmmm , would it make enough power ?

Here is an original K&B .020 "Infant".

Edit: Forgot to mention the aluminum prop that came with it. For show only...wood prop for running.

Cipolla Master C4

Yet another Cipolla but much earlier. This is a 4cc and Schneurle ported but all the porting is done through the piston skirt with no passages in the crankcase itself. Cast iron piston and steel liner.

Hmmm

An oldie , but a goldie ..

The Mills 1.3 , if you removed the tank , then it was a nice engine , actually would pull a plane around , and a sweet handling engine to boot .

MVVS 2.5 RIRE I've not had any real satisfaction with this.

The man that made the piston didn't talk to the man that made the liner.
