When I first received my mini the tail held great. Now that I have a c05 9t the tail will blow out 30 degrees on the hardest pitch pumps. The tail will go right back though if I let off the throttle. There is just too much torque with my setup for the tail to hold.

I did just change the entire tail over to a entire genius tail with minicp tail fin. I bought the genius complete boom/tail motor complete new as a spare. And it does it with the new tail too. I am switching to an 8t pinion when it gets here. Maybe the tail will hold with that.

We should be looking at different tail fins, maybe thats all we need to change. The chinese sites are using plantraco sp? tail blades with success.
can you lower your pitch a little to help with tail blow outs ?

I will try. here is what the 65mm plantraco tail blade looks like on a mcpx. The guy stated he was flying his mcpx with a hp05 motor and on the most extreme pitch pumps the tail held!

On the RRC 63mm prop the shiny side goes to the right side looking from the rear. It looks like you may have it backwards and that would give about a 10-15% performance difference.

I looked at those but it seems they're mostly used on 120sr tail motors. I wonder how it would do on a 7mm tail motor how the KBDD tail rotor compares?

I dont know, I was scouring helifreak posts for stuff and come across it. People with hpo8 motors are using the sr120 tail motor with those props too.

I did find another post saying that using the c05 motor with a 5amp esc made the tail lock. No blowouts whatsoever.
When they used a 7amp the tail blew out. I am unsure if the same can be said for other motors too.

whats up with wow hobbies and this pro edition? i understand all they are doing is slapping on a genius gear and charging 20 bucks, but what about the 8t gear? is that better? worse? what does a "stock" minis cp come with? should i get the 8t version? im kinda lery of some angry underpaid guy drilling a hole in my mini and wrecking it . ill do that myself. where is a good place to order one from?

Don't order from them. Search for all the complaints. Buy from Bob @ www.helircstore.com Great prices and a great guy. Tell him Daniel sent you. (20% my next order, right Bob?)

anybody got a link to where the plantraco tail blade can be purchased? im kind of curious as to how it would compare to the higher pitch blade wow sells...my tail barely moves on hard pitch climb outs with it...

radicalrc.com has them.

the stock pinion on the mini is a 9t. 8t and a genius maingear would be nice for longer flights.

Got a new scale today...

Stock 6mm tail motor: 2.1g with 8" of 28g magnet wire.
4g3 7mm tail motor: 2.9g with 10" of 28g magnet wire and rx connector.

Stock 240mah 25C: 7.1g 20.76 x 31.2 x 8.3
350mah 20C: 9.6g 20.82 x 32.4 x 8.3
350mah 25C: 11.1g 20.82 x 41.5 x 10.3

The stock battery seemed to make the mini feel a little more peppy. I thought it was due to it being 25c vs my others at 20c. I guess it was both seeing as how the stock battery can supply 6a and the 350's can supply 7. My new 350 25c's can supply 8.75 but weigh an additional 1.5g.

I can't wait for the flight test. Unfortunately I have no way to measure headspeed other than one of the free audio apps. I can measure negative thrust now though

Once my motors get here I can finally know my auw, I'm sure it's less than stock but I've been curious for a while now. I am also going to weigh my new complete tail assembly ( 2mm square and 1mm rod hybrid, 7mm cnc tail mount and 7mm 4g3 tail motor with blade and wiring. Can anyone weigh the stock one?

I got some of the Fullriver 350mah 25C batteries, and I'm kinda confused by the charge capacity of them. When I charge them as a 3s pack (using an adapter), I only get about 200-220mah total back into the pack (3x 350mah packs = 1050mah total) before its full. Is this a problem with my charger, or the cells, or am I reading something wrong?

CAn anyone who speaks/reads chinese send this guy a message to get the canopy.rar files from him? I really want the files he lists but I get a error message. I also tried to sign up to that message forum and cannot do that either. If you click on his name it will list his yoku.com personnal site. I cannot pm him through that either. Any help is appreciated!
