Amazing isn't it? Just a dollar more than a S107! Anyone looking to go 4ch should get one and convert the remote to Mode 2. I'm teaching my daughters and have a v911 on the way. Even if someone wants to stay 3ch it's faster that a stock S107, and with it being Mode 4 they can just fly it like a 3ch.

I have 2 but one is down. I added a S107 tail rotor, lightened it up, and you know the rest of the story. It was crazy fast, and that wall was in the way, LOL.

I love my S800G, I really got used to it over the last few weeks. Sadly today I busted the main inner shaft whee the top blade grip is held. Good thing for more than 1 heli in the fleet.

I bought one of these last week and it arrived yesterday. It is awesome fun, a love doing strafe turns, one direction will cause it to turn tightly, the other will cause it to slide as it turns.

Creates much more entertaining flying compared to S107C (Which I bought previously).

Unfortunately I found out about the V911 right after buying an S800G, which is a bit of a shame considering it only costs about 10 more and it goes outdoors.

A couple of questions to anyone who feels like answering them:

1. Is it just mine or does the tail rotor not spin?
2. How does the S800G compare to the V911?

The tail rotor is only decorative.
The V911 is a totally different machine, much faster, much more responsive, fully proportional and a more serious rc helicopter.
The S800G is good preparation for a V911.

I converted my Syma to mode two so that I could get used to a more main stream control layout ( I bought a mode two V911), instructions are in this thread.

Thanks. But what's this about "mode 2"? I don't know the difference and didn't know you can buy different "modes" of V911?

Which mode is this one? I ordered it yesterday:

Here's how to convert the S800G from Mode 4 (only comes Mode 4) to Mode 2.

The link for the v911 doesn't say. They often do not. I had to contact 5 sellers on amazon to get an answer from 1. Sometimes they'll say in a review or description "throttle on right" or similar.

I know what you mean dude. 3 days after ordering a JXD 340 and an S110G, for $46 shipped total, I discovered the V911, which I can buy for $45 shipped.

On the plus side, the 340's Tx can switch to mode 2 operation, so I'll get some good practice before I order my V911.

Ooops, bit OT, sorry.

S800G Mode 2 Controller Conversion

I followed the diagram from this thread to convert a controller to Mode 2 - works like a charm. A bit tricky soldering those tiny points on the PCB but at least now I don't have to continually crash when I get mixed up between Mode 2 and Mode 4!

I finally got my 800. these helis rock! they're a lot quicker than my S107g. It's a real trip to fly it backwards. the charging cord was really short. I'll have to open up the transmitter and see if I can get more length. a real fun heli. the motors were quit warm when I landed after several minutes of flight.
