Want my payment now?

Will there be a "special deal" if I subscribe to future kits in this series?

Zeke,

Have you considered cutting a foam kit?

I've thought about it, but never went beyond the thinking stage. It might be a good medium for little planes like this though. I guess with something like this you'd be using 1mm depron?

That would work, but with the large wingspan, I think 2mm for the fuselage, and perhaps even 3mm for the wing may be appropriate. I'm sure the more knowledgeable foam experts like Pete (mtflyr) and Jin (jingjingjing) can offer better advice.

Looks like you're using the Mustang/4-Site/etc motor - I think that's a good power plant for the size you're going to kit. As a comparison, the HobbyZone Champ has a just over 20"WS, with a flying weight of 1.3 oz. It's an excellent flyer on a lesser motor than the Mustang's.

No doubts here.

Also no doubt that Callie Graphics will be able to provide alternate schemes, as shown here for your larger Monocoupe....http://www.parkscalemodels.com/downl.../M90A_trim.pdf ..... and hopefully someone will also offer a vac form bump-cowl and wheel pants!!

(can you tell I'm slightly excited ?)

Kit will include:
Laser cut balsa parts
Front windscreen
Rare earth magnets
CF rod for control rods and wing struts
possibly wire for the landing gear
And shipping to Germany is possible? Could I pay via Credit card (Visa or Mastercard) ?? My last Monocoupe (also from you and excellent both as a build and as a flier) needs to be replaced as well (slightly too hot a landing the last time left me with quite a few small parts but nothing flyable ) would be ordered at the same time. My father lives in the USA and on his last visit brought the kit along but he is quite old and not likely to travel the distance again.

Shipping to Germany is not a problem Jens. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your larger Monocoupe as well!

I hope to get a first coat of color on the fuselage this evening. I have given the fuselage two light coats of clear lacquer to seal the wood and give a smooth surface. The paint dries pretty quickly, so I may be able to get two coats on. I haven't decided on a trim scheme yet.

Beautiful.

Were there a lot of cowl variations for the Monocoupe as concerns size/shape?

I saw the painted prototype in person today at the North Penn HS Model Aviation Club Indoor. It is a good looking plane and got a lot of attention from people passing by. Having picked it up I don't think it would be any lighter in foam, and it is definitely a classy looking little indoor flyer.
