I was hoping for another amazing Show Plane paint scheme. Thats the same scheme the E-flite pitts S12 came in. bit boring.... but each to their own!
I think il stick to the Original Swedish Python!

One is there, phew, first accomplished flight!!!
Pitts Python s12 RICCS 1.40 m envergure EPO (4 min 23 sec)

But rather disappointing, the engine is too puffing to consider insane capers with the vertical;
I thus made a flight, 7 minutes, with a lipo 4S 4600 mah, that I fell to 16%;
I confirm that centering to 110 mm is the good;
Clearances which I had also programmed are well, a hair of less with the ailerons to be envisaged, to have a harmony on all the axes;
(small clearances + 60 mm derive - + 22 depth/+-20 mm ailerons (- 30% from exhibition everywhere and -40% with the drift) Thus 15mm with the ailerons and it is good for small clearances;
Flight slices, flight back (without pushing), barrels, that passes without concern;
Practically all the time full throttle, because rather slow speed gives the impression that will take down!!
But as soon as I tried to go up for loop, or inversion, there one feels well qu " one is in extreme cases;
The cameraman took down a little on the flight, but there was nothing to see the spectacular one in any case;
Thus I will not haggle, to test 5s (that I do not have), or other, I puts direct the engine xpower x5025/16 at it, in 6S, me I want it turbulent this pitts and I believe that the only solution is there;
And sorry for my english !!traductioin by systran translator.

Good I take direct the option 6S, because so that this Pitts moves, I believe that to 3.5 kg, it is not in 4S that I would arrive there…
Moreover I have stock, therefore ahead for the metamorphosis;
I have make a small assessment weight, I approximately will have 200 gr. moreover!
On the other hand, 4.1 kg of traction (static) with a 14x7, to see a 15x6 then, with 45A, it one will be able to play;
Finally as soon as it is assembled the contro castle records me all that;
Miss me that to order a pretty cone innovated 80 mm;
To be continued thus!!!

Hey Dadamen.
Will you show some Photos when you install your 6S set up? and also re-review it on a youtube video??? Im going to Order this Pitts as a kit this week. I will also be upgrading it to a 6s set up.

The monster is ready…
With 14x7, that draws extremely, that tears its grandma what!! …
There that should climb with the vertical without problem;
I would put tomorrow the curve recorded with the castle ice.

Awesome work!!! That Prop and Spinner look perfect!
Is there any chance you can post details on your Motor, ESC and Spinner?

2ič flight for my Pitts Python is driven this time by an engine Xpower 5025-16 with Kv of 470, a controller Castle Creation ice 80A, a propeller 14x7, a cone innovated 82 mm.
The whole supplied with a lipo 6S of 4000 mah.
More nothing to see with the engine of origin and the lipo 4s!!
The propeller 14x7 is still a little small, I have 8 minutes of autonomy, almost at bottom, that draws on average in the 35A, 650 Watts, 8500/8900 tr/min.
I thus envisage to mount a propeller 15x7 gradually, then a 16x6.
The 3D, the torque one in particular should thus pass.
But already there, finally Pitts which becomes pleasant to control and which is stirred up.

Well I've just been given one of these! A mate of mine owns one of the LHS around here. He recently bought in a few sonic models and wanted me to take it to the field to try strum up some business. Seeing I don't have a great track record with aerobatic planes this should be interesting! LOL

He gave me the pnp version and wants me to try it out as is before I start modding it. Another friend of mine is a gun 3d pilot so I might get him to buddybox me fir a bit with it. Anyone have any more info or advice on setups or rates? The instruction manual is somewhat lacking!

Sonic Pitts Python EPO 1400mm

According to your tests that appears a good measure.

which is the autonomy of flight with your lipo 5s 3300 mah.
Do you think ultimately that it is a good choice?
you tested hovering, knife edge...
How would be the plane in lipo 4s

And if I pass on a two-bladed propeller in lipo 5S, you would advise what in dimension?;
I just purchased one from Troybuilt models Then the manual stated 65mm CG but after doing some measurements the CG was 120m. I set the CG at 110mm but it flew great at half throttle but at wide open WOT it wanted to climb. I added some nose weight and now it fly's great. The one that TBM's sell is the 6S version that replaces the 4s model. Vertical is no problem Also the manual states using a 3300mah 6S LIPO. But with with the extra nose weight needed I went to a 4400mah LIPO.
I wrote Sonic Modell and told them the CG was way off and they said that was just a starting place. I have being flying for over 45 years and I would have crash that plane on landing with CG @ 65mm

With that being said, it is a great flying plane and is well built for a foamy and well worth the money compared to other foamy planes I have purchased for the same amount.

Only the 4S version comes with the 3 blade prop. The 6S version comes with a wood prop to handle the extra torque
Also this plane shown is only 1000mm not 1400mm. Hobby King has a 1600mm nice but not the quailty as Sonic 1400mm IMHO. I have both
