Possible Micro Nieuport 25

Did a paper mock up of Nieuport 25 to a 14.5" WS . I like the 25's tail area more than the 17 so I might try one after I mod the DR-1.

looks nice, though that lower wing is very narrow
and of coarse it will need a light tail because of that short nose

That looks like a cut down mustang prop.

Mendo,

It's a FZ Prop the other is a PZ P-51 std prop not yet cut of finished.

Derk,
Yes, that bottom wing is thin and like my Nieuport 17 you're right everything must be up front and the tail area light. I plan to use 1mm for the tail areas if I start this bird. Also this one will have ailerons to get somemore weight up front. Gene (Speedy01) gave me a HK rotor micro servo that will work great to do the aileron push rods that come up through the fuselage in front of the cockpit.

You got a thing for Nieuports huh?

My fave is the 11. Having a Micro Invent 11 really helped. I still miss that plane.

Yeah, I'm another one for those Nieuports. Did an 11 and a 28 using the early PZ guts, then an 11, 17, and 28 using Flyzone guts. All of them flew, some well, some not so well.

I do like the history and the looks of the Nieuports 11-27 not much of a fan of the 28 though.

I would like to do an 11 but I know the top Lewis gun would get ripped off all the time when flying, chrashing and whacking in

Cut some foam for this bird. Next to bake the wings in my new Speedy01 wing jig. I also need to redo the cowling as this mock up is way off.

Also got my new used RNAS No.6 book by M. Westrop with Mark Millers excellent renderings of the Nieuport 17Bis they used.

Hallelujah - I sure am glad that your dreaded wa-wa "I'm taking some time off" symptoms have subsided!!! So I'm looking forward to AT LEAST three more mtflyr projects that are in the queue for the near future.

All is good in the world of micros.
