Interesting that my cable arrived today even with the tracking info still showing the item at ISC NYC...?? Thanks again all for making this software work with all 3 gyros. I'll give it a try on my functional 3gys..

FyeTech USB-TTL

Finally the CX-3X1000 arrived and its works with FyeTech USB-TTL (disconnect the red cable from USB-TTL first) and the Software.

Thank you all for your help.

John thank you also for the software.

USB to IR for Tarot ZYX

Does anyone interested an IR (Infrared ie: wireless) version of the USB cable? I am thinking of building one. Can be done easily with a pair of IR Tx & Rx. (they used to fitted on older laptops). I believe the Tarot comms is 9600 which is well accepted by the IR devices.

You should find most if not all the information within this thread, but I guess it's getting pretty long by now!

If you've tried out all of the five preset models, it should give you a reasonable understanding of how the parameter values affect how the heli flies.

Let's say you've settled on one preset as your preferred flying mode. In my own case, I use model #5, tamed with 40% expo, and also 80% rates in normal flight mode.

The one thing I've needed to change thus far has been the tail parameters, to reduce tail bounce. The single parameter that had the most effect on that was tail deceleration. On my 450 Pro with a 9257 clone, I ended up with PID values of 70 30 15, accel 100 and decel 20 after quite a few battery packs of testing on a Lazy Susan, and those settings seem to work well for me in flight.

If you're using analog cyclic servos, you might need to alter some of the cyclic gains, but for now I've left them all at their defaults.

Where can I get the USB link for $5

Here but of course there's shipping on top of that. They have plenty of other useful stuff you might consolidate into one order, however, to mitigate shipping costs.

Version 1.16 of the software includes the descriptions for each of the advanced page items from the text that Jaahaavi put together (here). I just haven't released it yet as I need to finish off the Russian translation (thanks Ruslan).
If anyone else would like a different language and is willing to provide the translation, let me know.

Shipping for the USB link only was $3. Not a bad deal IMO.
